once upon a time there lived a prince. he always wanted to find his true love. the love that will fit his exact "glass slipper". but nobody ever seemed to be the perfect match. he longed for the day he could feel what love feels like.

everyone wanted to be with him, well because he was the prince. to marry a prince would give you a lifetime support of wealth and riches. who wouldn't want that lifestyle?

well, there was a boy who lived a sad life. his "step mother" and "step sister" always prevented him from having freedom and a joyous life. because of them, he ended up locked away, never able to make friends with anyone, just wasting his life away in a dungeon. he was always trapped, wishing every day maybe things will change around for him, a day where someone could save him and give him the life he always dreamed and deserved.

a ball? a ball was being hosted! where everyone was invited. including the poor boy who would usually never go outside.

everyone was invited.

was this his chance? could he finally be happy? this one event could change his whole life.

compared to many of the other guest, he might've not been as proper or well mannered, but to the prince...

he stood out above all.

there was something about him that the prince just gravitated towards. could it be his smile? or the way he glows?

to him, he knew that he was HIS prince.

the prince asked the poor boy to dance with him. even though he hesitated at first, he gave it a go. and oh how "their dance" changed everything. they way they moved together, hearts beating as one, flowing through the journey the music took them.

it was perfect. and the prince knew he was his.

although the night was perfect, there was still something in the way. the boy still had to be locked away. and that night, he ran off. scared of the "step mother and sisters" would do to him if he didn't follow his set path.

the set path that he was supposed to be sad forever. never supposed to meet anyone. even though that night all his dreams came true.

but to the prince, he had to search for him. he was real and didn't seem money hungry. he just liked him for him. not seeing him as a higher power, but just fell for a human being.

he was the one. a glass shoe was left behind. since everyone was at the ball, he had to searched through every single person in the town to find his true love again. whoever fit perfectly in it, was his true love.

the person he was destined to be with forever.

and he knew he would do anything to find that person and give him his everything once found.

high and low he searched. but no luck. no one would be a perfect match.

but he didn't give up. he checked every single house, did everything to someday find them and be with this person forever. he did all this effort, because he knew he was the one.

at the last house, as he tried to fit the shoe into the last remaining citizens, he asked the owners if there was one more person living here.

usually, in fairy tales it's expected that the boy
would come out. he would try on the shoe and the shoe would perfectly fit the boy. the prince finds his true love and they live happily ever after. they get married and live a long life of pursuit and happiness.

but it didn't. it didn't happen.

in this story it didn't work.

the boy never came out of the darkness. he ended up staying trapped forever, eventually suffocating until he couldn't breathe anymore. and the prince went home, never finding his true love.

he didn't even get to see if the shoe fit in that one boy though. but in his mind, he knew it would've.

and that's this story's "happily ever after".

the end.
