"youngjae! it's driving me crazy i haven't been able to see anything for 20 minutes!"

youngjae fought against bambam's flailing arms to cover his eyes. "sorry! mark really wanted it to be a big surprise. we're almost in the building."

"thank god. i'm starting to forget how to see." he teased around as he let youngjae guide him though completely blind.

youngjae tried to remember the directions mark texted him earlier, leading him to a private section, reserved just for the two. as youngjae opened the door, he immediately spotted mark standing in the center of the room, smiling right away at the sight of them finally here. mark nodded his head, giving a sign to reveal the surprise to bambam. youngjae let his hands go out of bambam's eyes. "here we are!" youngjae threw out his hands.

bambam gasped at the room they were standing in, amazed at how thoughtful mark was to bring him here.

a roller skating rink.

mark skated up to him, wobbling a little bit. bambam held onto both of his hands. "you... you remembered?" he stumbled over his words.

"duh! i kept that statement in my pocket ever since you told me." he hugged bambam, hovering over him quite a bit with his skates on. bambam hugged him back. mark mouthed out 'thank you' to youngjae behind bambam's back.

youngjae nodded his head and gave him a thumbs up. 'have fun. make him happy.' youngjae mouthed back before tiptoeing away back outside.

bambam pouted, feeling touched at mark's consideration of his words even before they started dating. "but... that was so long ago. when we went to the zoo. that was like our..."

"basically second date? well, i really cherished that day. you were so enthusiastic about roller skating, i thought it was fitting to..." he caught his own words inside his mouth. 'i thought it was fitting to end it off here.' was what he was about to say. "make sure we do this one. because it meant so much to you."

mark rolled over to a bench where a nice pair of skates were hanging around just waiting to be put on. bambam slowly followed after and sat on the bench, taking his shoes off for mark to put his skates on for him. bambam watched amazed as mark tied his laces for him, heart beating for the boy of his dreams. "you're so sweet. how are you this perfect?"

he helped bambam stand up, adjusting to the new pair of wheels on his feet. he made sure to hold him at all times, as he knew he was pretty weak on his own, he needed help to roll around. mark made sure his tubes were secured in his nose to breathe. "i'm not. i'm just so in love with you, every word that comes out of you repeats in my head over and over like an addiction." he laughed, bowing all dramatically. "shall we?"

bambam let mark lead him into the empty roller rink, feeling that nostalgic rush of euphoria the moment his wheels touched the slick wooden surface. when he skated, he loved the fact that he was alone. it was his little comfort hobby for him to just forget all his problems and just feel the wind as he whirls around the rink. but now... it felt so perfect to have someone by his side in his favorite activity. he felt so much being beside the love of his life, to connect his two things he absolutely loved into one. the feeling was truly unforgettable.

they first started off slowly for bambam to adjust to the speed and also to get his strength and momentum up. mark was patient through the entire process. just feeling a large amount of giddiness watching bambam gradually get the hang of the wheels. he stumbled and tumbled often, but it didn't stop him from having fun. the couple laughed for hours, gliding through the winds of their acceleration, forgetting that hopelessness that kept weighing down on them the past few days. mark spun bambam around to the music, dancing messily, but till their hearts' content.
