Chapter 9: Why?

Trevor's POV

"Help... No... Stop..." I woke up to Bree saying stuff like help and stop. I begin to get worried and start to nudge her.

"Bree wake up baby.." I say shaking her. She doesn't wake up.

"Please wake up.. You're having a nightmare.." I say and she starts to shake even more. I shake her and she slowly opens her eyes. She sees me and sits up. She wraps her arms around me and bursts into tears. I hug her back and pull her into my lap.

"Trevor please don't leave me." Bree says and looks up at me.

"I would never leave you baby, I promise. What happened for you to ask that?" I ask.

"I had a nightmare from when I got kidnapped. The guy came and it was my dad." She starts to shake even more.

"I would never leave you. I promise. You're safe. What made your dad come?" I ask.

"I never told you, did I?" She asks. Wait what? What didn't she tell me?

"No what is it? What didn't you tell me?" I ask.

Bree's POV

I'm about to tell him my deepest secret. How do I tell him what my dad did?

"Before I moved in with you guys, my dad was abusive. He abused me in every way possible. He got drunk and abused me. I never told anyone because he said he would kill me if I did." I explain and cry. Trevor doesn't say anything, he just pulls me into his chest with his arms wrapped around me tightly. I cry into his chest wondering if my dad will come back.

"Trevor what if he comes back?" I ask him.

"If he does then I will keep you safe no matter what. You'll be safe here, I promise. Are you okay?" Trevor asks.

"I guess but I'm scared that he'll come back." I say and a tear rolls down my face. Trevor wipes it away and kisses my forehead.

"Don't worry baby, I promise you're safe. I won't let anything happen to you." Trevor says and I wrap my arms around his neck with my head on his shoulder.

"Thanks Trev." I say.

"Anything for my princess. I love you." He replies and I smile knowing that I'm safe with him.

"I love you." I say.

"Are you tired or do you wanna stay up?" Trevor asks after a while.

"What time is it?" I ask and he grabs his phone.

"3am. It's up to you. I'll stay up with you if you want." I smile.

"No I'm tired. I wanna go to bed." I say and get back under the covers.

"Okay me too." Trev smiles and gets under the covers. I snuggle into his chest and he wraps his arms around me with his head on top of mine.

"Goodnight love you." Trevor says.

"Goodnight love you." I say and drift off to sleep.

TIME SKIP TO MORNING

I wake up the next morning in Trevor's arms. I'm guessing he is still asleep. I just sit there and relax and think about last night. What if my dad comes? What if he hurts Trevor? What will I d if he comes?

Trevor wakes up about 10 minutes later and says, "Good morning baby. Are you better now?"

"Yeah." I reply.

"How long have you been awake?" He asks. How did he know?

"About 10 minutes, I think. How'd you know I've been awake?" I ask.

"Your voice." He replies and I sit up. I look at my phone and see it is 12 and I have a text.

"Trevor it's already noon." I say and laugh. He laughs too and I open the message.

Unknown Number: I will find you.....

I start to worry and I begin to shake. Tears run down my face and I drop my phone. Trevor sits up and looks at me with worry in his eyes.

"What's wrong? What happened?" He asks. I point to my phone and he grabs it. Trev locks my phone and picks me up. He puts me in his lap with me facing him.

"Shhhh baby it's okay. I promise it's okay. I'll keep you safe, I promise." He says and wraps his arms around me tightly. I cry into his chest and I'm guessing someone heard because I hear the door open.

"Hey I heard crying. Bree what's wrong?" Kian asked when he came in.

"Do you wanna tell them?" Trev asked me.

"Yeah but let's tell them all at once." I say.

"Okay. Kian we'll be down soon. Tell the others that we need to tell you guys something." Trevor tell Kian.

"Okay." Kian says and leaves.

I take my head off of Trevor's chest and look at him. Tears run down my cheeks and I start to shake.

"Shhh baby I promise you'll be okay. Nothing will happen to you, I promise." Trevor says and kisses my nose. I slightly smile at him and I wrap my arms around him. He hugs me back with his head on top of mine.

"Do you wanna tell them or do you want me to? It's up to you." Trevor asks.

"I can tell them." I say and release from the hug.

Trevor nods and says, "Do you wanna go down now?"

"Yeah to get it over with." I say. Trevor nods and picks me up. He carries me downstairs and everyone is sitting on the couch. Trevor sits down on the couch with me in his lap.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Ricky asked. I look at Trevor and he nods.

"You guys remember when I got kidnapped right?" They all nod so I continue, "I had a nightmare last night and the guy ended up being my dad. Then this morning I got a text from an unknown number saying that they will find me." When I'm done, I just burst into tears.

"Hey baby don't cry. We'll keep you safe, I promise." Trevor says and hugs me tightly. I've cried so much since last night.....

"Yeah Bree we'll keep you safe, we promise." Connor says.

"See you'll be okay, I promise baby." Trevor whispers. I wrap my arms around him tightly.

"Please don't leave me." I whisper.

"Baby I promise I will never leave you. I don't care what it takes, I will never leave your side. I love you." Trevor whispers.

"Thank you. I love you." I say. I still haven't let go of him and he has his arms wrapped around me tightly.
