Chapter 17: Family Dinner

-3 Months Later-

BREE'S POV

I was sitting on the couch while Trevor was in the other room on the phone with his mom. He walked back in a few minutes later and sat down beside me.

"My mom wants us to come over for a family dinner tonight." He said turning to me.

"Okay who's gonna be there?" I asked.

"My parents, brother, and grandparents." He replied, wrapping his arms around me and burying his head in my neck. I laughed, moving closer to him.

"What time are we leaving?" I asked.

"In like an hour." Trevor replied and I nodded.

"What if they hate me?" I started to worry.

"Baby.. I promise they won't.. My parents have known you for years and my grandparents aren't gonna care.." He whispered and kissed my forehead.

"Okay.." I sighed, snuggling into Trevor.

AT TREVOR'S HOUSE

"MOM!" Trevor yelled when we walked in. Nicole came in the living room and hugged him. She then hugged me.

"How are you? I haven't seen you in a while." Nicole asked me.

"Good how are you?" I smiled.

"Great." She smiled and walked back to the kitchen. Trevor grabbed my hand and I moved closer to him. He wrapped his arm around me.

"You're okay I promise." He whispered in my ear. I nodded. We walked into the kitchen and sat down across from Trevor's grandparents.

"Hi." His grandma said to me.

"Hi how are you?" I smiled.

"Good." She said plainly, "So are you guys together?"

"Yes." Trevor smiled widely.

"Oh wow." She rolled her eyes. Trevor grabbed my hand and held it tightly. He gently rubbed his thumb across it to comfort me.

"Mom, stop!" Nicole said, glaring at her mom. When we got our food, we all began eating.

"So do you wanna be on the next teen mom series or what?" Trevor's grandma asked referring to Trevor and I. I didn't say anything. Tears threatened to spill out of my eyes but I held them back. Trevor squeezed my hand tightly.

"I'm being serious. There's no such thing as 'love' between you two. You're gonna get pregnant at 16 and everything will crash down on you." His grandma said. After she said that, I just got up and ran upstairs to Trevor's room. I started pacing around with tears rolling down my cheeks. I heard someone walk in. It was Trevor.

He walked over to me and placed his hands on my shoulders to make me stop pacing. I looked up at him with tears rolling down my cheeks. Trevor pulled me into his arms. I wrapped my arms around him tightly. I sobbed into his chest, not understanding why his grandma would say that.

Trevor lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around him. He walked over to his bed and gently laid me down. He then laid down right next to me and once more pulled me into his arms.

"Shh baby it's okay.. None of that was true, I promise.. She just doesn't understand baby girl.." He whispered in my ear. I nodded into his chest, clinging to him. Trevor rubbed my back soothingly. 

I lifted my head off his chest, looking up at him and whispered, "I just don't understand." Trevor's face softened and he planted a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I know honey, I know.. I don't either. I'm sorry that she acted like that baby.." Trevor whispered. He's so sweet and I don't know what I would do without him.

"It's not your fault Trev.." I said and he nodded, pulling me into his chest again. I buried my head in his chest, never wanting to let go of him. We laid there silently for like 10 minutes with him just comforting me. I suddenly heard the door open and I looked up to see Nicole. She looked over at us and her face softened and had a look of concern on it.

"I'm so sorry about that.. She doesn't understand.. I have no clue what got into her." Nicole came over and sat down on the end of Trevor's bed. We both nodded, "I know you guys love each other. Tim and I have known you since you were little. Just don't listen to her, okay?" I knew she was referring to me, so I nodded slowly and forced a smile. I was still upset. Nicole left and I snuggled back into Trevor.

"Are you okay?" Trevor asked me after a few minutes.

"Yeah, I guess." I replied and looked up at him.

"Hey, none of that was true, I promise. She has no clue what she's talking about." Trevor said and kissed my forehead softly. 

"I know.. Thanks Trev, I love you." I said.

"I love you baby." He smiled.

Omg I am so sorry!! I've been so busy with school starting and just ugh.. School has been so stressful already :/ But yeah, I'm so sorry and I'll try to update more often! ily guys<3
