6: Awakening Gift Pack

After cake, I helped my parents clean up even though they insisted I relax since it was my birthday. I helped anyway cause I was a bit bored. Afterwards we talked for an hour or so about monsters and dungeons. I tried to find out the history behind dungeons and the beast tides, but my parents didn't know either and the books in my mother's study did not have any information about that either. So, I could only give up for now and try again when the opportunity presents itself. By that time it was 9 in the evening, and we decided to call it a night since we needed to get up a bit early in the morning to get an ID for me. It was a bit better to go early cause  it got busy around 8 in the morning. At that time, we would have to wait for hours to be seen. I said goodnight to the two of them and went upstairs to my room.

Once inside, I shut the door and sat on the bed. I then focused on a small blue box in the bottom right of my vision. It was a notification I got after waking up from my awakening. I decided to ignore it until now to get everything situated. Now, I was finally free  to look at it. I focused my vision on it and it enlarged in front of me. 

Surprised and happy at this, I quickly focused on the x and closed the notification and thought inventory. Instantly, another screen appeared before me. 

Excited seeing this, I stretched out my hand toward the filled box with the gift pack. Slowly I watched my hand slowly disappear into the box. Once my whole hand was in, I felt something touch my palm. I immediately grasped it and pulled my hand out. During this whole process I was nervous and weirded out by having  my hand disappear and reappear moments later while holding something. The weird and remarkable power of space. Interesting. Once my hand was out, I closed the inventory and studied the gift pack. It was small, about 2 inches by 2 inches by 2 inches. it was white covered in a gold ribbon. After studying it I thought open and the pack immediately disappeared. Replacing it was another screen. 

Reading the rewards from the gift pack I was suddenly interested in what these two new skills did. I was also intrigued as to what I could get from the system shop with the system points. The shop thing could wait until tomorrow though. I had to look at the effects of these two skills now. 

Reading these two skills, made me almost jump with joy. creating my own skills? Hell yes! after reading so many light novels, and playing too many games in my previous life, there are so many good inspirations for ideas. This Mana manipulation skill is cheat like, as long as you have the creativity. Fortunately, I have my past life for that. the Elemental master technique  is god tier for me. Each element had attributes attributed toward it and by cultivating that element, I could raise my attributes another way. At level 1 I could raise them by 1, and at level 2, raise them again by another two and so on. Plus the way it describes the skill shows that certain elements have synergistic relationships with each other. So, it will be better to cultivate those to further increase my power. Actually, I do not need to worry about that. I will cultivate all the elements. I need every bit of help to reach that SSS rank. 

With those thoughts still swirling around in my head, I closed those screens. I lied down, closed my eyes and attempted to sleep, as tomorrow will be very busy.

It took a while because of the excitement and anticipation I felt, but I finally managed to fall asleep after an hour. When I came to, it was bright outside and I could smell breakfast being cooked. Bacon. Fuck yes! Name a better way to start the day besides the smell and taste of bacon. You can't. Smelling that god-like food, I was immediately awake and full of energy. I hopped out of bed and got dressed. i wore a form fitting black t-shirt, black shorts and shoes. I straightened out my hair, letting it flow down over my shoulders and back and went downstairs.

My father was in the kitchen flirting with my mother and touching her ass while she was trying to cook. She kept giggling at his antics. With a red face, I coughed to let them know I was in their presence. That caused my father to immediately....never mind. he continued with his shenanigan's. My mother turned red  in the face and slapped his hands away. He grinned and turned to face me.

Dad: "Hope you are ready boy. after breakfast, ID and then training. I will work you hard all day. Be prepared to sweat."

Me: "I am. Plus, at that time, I got some more stuff to tell you two that I just found out about. I am sure you will like it. 

My father frowned at that, looking at me with a grin on my face. He thought why do I feel like I am gonna want to beat him up later? A moment later, my mother came walking towards the table with the food. Bacon, eggs, and rolls with butter. I took my spot at the table, as did my mother.

Mom: "Good morning Auggie. Eat up quickly. We have to get going within 20 minutes."

I nodded and started shoving food into my mouth. Within minutes I was finished. However, I wasn't satisfied. I filled a second plate with more and ate once again with gusto. 5 minutes later, I was finished. With a full belly, I waited for my parents to finish. I did not have to wait long. 2 minutes later, they wiped their mouths and brought our dishes to the sink. 

Dad: "Alright. Lets go. Busy day ahead."

With that all three of us headed out the door.
