The bell rang marking the end of the third class. This means that it was lunchtime, I was planning to meet with someone, when I was confronting Chabashira-sensei about the school system I realized that I had received a message from an anonymous account asking me to meet them in the special building.

When I was about to get up to go to the meeting, my neighbor decided to talk to me.

"Ayanokōji-Kun, do you want to have lunch with me? I want to talk to you." Horikita was looking at me waiting for my answer.

"I'm sorry Horikita, but I have some things to do right now that require my attention" I replied.

"Your popularity has increased recently it's true, but still I think the person you want to meet with can wait. I want to talk to you about important matters" Horikita replied.

"I can't, but don't worry we can talk after I finish my club activities. Just give me your contact information to send you a message" I told him.

Horikita looked at me for a few moments before sighing "Fine, but don't send a message too late. I'll be waiting for your message" Horikita replied while writing her contact information on a piece of paper before handing it to me.

"Hey, Ayanokōji!" Yelled a male voice.

While Horikita wasn't looking, Sudō approached our desk. Sudō shot Horikita a look with his brow furrowed, but in the end, he paid no attention to her.

"Do you want to go out to lunch with us? We are planning to buy something at the store."

Sudō made me an unexpected invitation, by "we" I suppose he meant Ike and Yamauchi. It seemed like they weren't planning to eat in the school cafeteria.

Even though the school cafeteria was one of the places that had a great capacity to house most of the students. Some of the students preferred to have lunch elsewhere.

The students preferred to buy their lunch at the convenience store and eat in places like the rooftop, a quiet place like the corners of the school where you could hear the ocean, in the same classrooms. Others who did not have to worry about the points went to the different buildings that exist on the school campus where they can choose to have lunch.

"I'm sorry Sudō. I was planning to eat with someone else today."

"Huh? Don't tell me you're going to have lunch with this girl!" Sudō replied while giving Horikita an annoyed look. Hearing Sudō's comment, Horikita glared at him. I could swear sparks started appearing in both of their eyes.

"No, Horikita also invited me to have lunch, but I also declined her invitation, but you can invite me at another time" I replied.

"You're sure?" Sudō gave me a doubtful look, which was nothing unexpected. I remembered that in the previous line everyone had thought that I was quite close to Horikita because only she communicated with me at first.

"Yes. By the way, I still don't have your contact information Sudō" I told him.

"Oh sure" Sudō nodded before pulling out his cell phone. Then we both exchanged contact information "I'll see you later then" Sudō took one last look at Horikita but didn't say anything else before leaving the classroom with Ike and Yamauchi.

That was a bit strange from my perspective, I was so used to watching Sudō follow Horikita most of the time, in the previous timeline. Which I found a bit surprising that Sudō was now vying with Horikita for a chance to eat with me.
