Chapter 25: " Blood in the Water"

" Missing?! What do you mean missing?!" Namjoon yelled, pacing back and fourth as Jungkook consoled a crying Jimin.

" Are you sure Taehyung's phone isn't dead or something, Jimin?" Hoseok asked as Jimin sniffled, trying to calm himself down.

" I'm sure! When I called him, it said that his phone had been disconnected or the number had changed. Taehyung wouldn't have changed his number without telling me!" Jimin said, almost hysterically. Jungkook just rubbed his back, soothing him.

" That's weird, can you track his location?" Yoongi asked as Jimin shook his head. He and Taehyung never thought to track each other's locations, they trusted each other enough to hope that the other was safe. Suddenly, the sound of Namjoon's ringtone stopped everyone's thoughts.

" Hello?"

" I warned you, Namjoon. I told you I wouldn't make this easy for you or Taehyung. This revenge was long overdue." Namjoon only saw red when he heard his fathers voice.

" Dae-Hee! What the fuck did you do to Taehyung?!" Namjoon yelled, furious.

" Now, is that anyway to address your father?" Dae-Hee asked, pretending to be hurt.

" You're not my father." Namjoon growled. " Where. Is. Taehyung. I swear if you laid a fucking finger on him-"

" Taehyung is safe I can assure you. But his next few moments depend on your actions." Dae-Hee started. " Meet me at our house, we can discuss what I've arranged here. Understand? Oh, and don't bring that little boyfriend of yours."

" And what will you do if I don't agree to your terms?" Namjoon asked, sounding a little more calm.

" Taehyung will finally meet his fate as a failure. Dead."

Taehyung's head was pounding as he woke up.

" Good, your awake. I was afraid with how hard I hit you you'd be dead." A voice said from behind Taehyung, who immediately panic when he realized it wasn't Jimin. And the fact he was in a dark basement instead of Jimin's house.

" What's going on here?! LET ME GO NOW!" Taehyung screamed, but the voice just chuckled.

" You can squeal all you want but no one is going to you." He said, making tears spring Taehyung's eyes. " I don't think we've formally met. I'm Chai."

" Chai...you're the one who wanted to take Namjoon's place! What did you do?! What's gonna happen to my brother?!" Taehyung yelled, before getting punched in the face by Chai.

" What did I tell you about the squealing? As your brother, he'll be fine. His father and Uncle Daeshim have something planned." Chai explained.

" What about you?" Taehyung asked.

" I'm sorry?"

" You wanted Namjoon's position more than anything, I heard you arguing over it with Daeshim. If this plan is what I think it is, why are you letting them give the spot you wanted to Namjoon?" Taehyung replied, that's when Chai chuckled again.

" Well, if you must know, I'm agreed to be Namjoon's Co-CEO for Kim Pharmaceuticals." Chai replied. " Was supposed to be your job, too bad you were a failure. Reduced to nothing but ransom."

" What? Ransom? What are you talking about?!" Taehyung asked, panicked.

" We're using you to bring Namjoon back to the Kim Family. Your father devised the plan while in prison. Creating a legal contract that ties Namjoon back to the Kim, kidnap you, and use you for ransom." Chai said simply. " And if he refuses the contract, well, he can kiss his little brother goodbye."
