It's been a few days since i got shot. Hank has been asking me to join his unit for the past couple weeks but honestly I don't wanna take the Kim's way out. She turned down her opportunity because she wanted to put things behind with Roman, but except my reason is a whole lot different.
"Y/n this is your last opportunity to move up to my unit. I walk back into the pen and the offer walks with me." He said sighing
I looked at him and stayed silent. He rubbed his face and started walking out.
"I'm in" I said standing up a bit straighter.
He turned around, "see you tomorrow.....detective"
When he walked away I started smiling. This is my lucky day.

It was Tuesday morning, 7:56am to be exact. I was currently getting dressed and doing my hair for my first day in intelligence. Even though it's the same as downstairs but yk I wanna look somewhat presentable.

I walked out the door and on my way to the district. I didn't have to worry about walking Nado since he's at a special camp to be ting for a drug sniffing dog. I unlocked my car, but it didn't start.
"Gosh damn it, any day but today" I said getting out of my car and walking over to the steps and calling Hank.
"Voight" I heard him say before a long pause
"Hey Sergeant, I don't think I'll be able to make it on time today. My car isn't starting and I'm kinda having a weird feeling about checking my car." I said looking around.
"Ok, well no one is here yet, but I'll send someone to you" he said and I could tell he wasn't to happy today.
"Ok thank you Sergeant" I said hanging up before sitting on my steps waiting for someone to pick me up.
I sat for about 10 minutes before a car pulled up to show Detective Dawson's brown eyes.
"Hey, Voight sent me since I was closest to this area" he said
I nodded and got in the passenger seat putting on my seat belt and looking out the window.
He sighed and started driving.

We got to the district, but before he parked he started speaking.
"Listen.....the things that happened between us wasn't intentional. I never meant to-." He started before I cut him off.
" You never meant to what? Claim you were in love with me then knocked me up getting me pregnant then leaving? Yeah that's sounds pretty unintentional to me" I said rolling my eyes looking at him.
"I'm just trying to clean up the air, you make it seem like I didn't try calling and texting you to apologize and make things up with you.you were the one who ignored me. I told you I'd be there for the baby but you declined. I was willing to be a father. " he said staring at me and putting the car in park.
"I said you shouldn't bother being in my baby's life and you left it like that. I know what I said so you can shove that apology right up your ass Antonio. If you wanted to make it up to me you would've shown me. Right now there's nothing to show." I say getting out of the car and walking inside.
I walked into the bullpen and to my surprise my print worked and I started putting stuff in an empty locker. When I saw the time I quickly walked to my new desk and sat down.

Hank was now going over our new case we got from Homicide.
"Early this morning 3 people were shot in their home outside of Inglewood. Two DOAs were found dead at the scene but there was a two month old baby stuffed in the closet placed with a gag. The two DOAs were Daniel Cliff and Sandy Cliff both were the parents of the baby girl Alex. We know nothing about the extent of the injuries of that baby so Antonia and......" Hank said as he searched around the room.
"Rhodes, go to Med to check on the baby's injuries and the rest of you guys I want you to check for anymore leads" he said before walking into his office.
I got up and walked right past Antonio before going to his patrol truck and getting in. He got in right after me and started our 15 minute drive to Med.
The ride was silent till we were stopped at a traffic light.
"I'm sorry ok, for what it's worth I really am. I'm no going to make an excuse as to why I did what I did but I just want to let you know if you or the baby needed anything I'm right here" Antonio said before starting to drive again when the light turned green.
I stayed silent and hopped out the truck when we got to Med. Him and I walked in to Will Halstead and I guess jay or Hank called him to tell him we were coming.
"She's in treatment 2, but her wounds are real extensive, we still don't know for sure whether she'd last by the end of this investigation" he said before walking away to another patients room.
We walked in and I don't know if it the pregnancy hormones but the sight of her brought tears to my eyes. I walked closer to her and bent down a bit to get a closer look.
"How the hell does someone do something like this. Especially to a damn 2 month old." I said blinking the tears away.
Antonia walked right beside me and started rubbing my back.
"We'll catch these sick bastards" was all he said as his large warm hand rubbed circles on my back.
And I thought to myself. You're damn right we will.
