The guy shoved Val a little bit more harsher and she rolled her eyes at the guy "you know, you have short temper"

"Does she shut up". The guys asked the five kids.

They all shook their heads, Dariush being the one to speak "only if you let her go".

Lou looked at the guys around them before looking back at Alex them.

"Please?" Alex asked, Val looked at him and he wore his puppy eyes and innocent face, how could anyone say no to that.

"I don't think anyone needs to get hurt tonight". Lou motioned the guy to let her go and he shoved her right into Gabriel. Though the other men didn't lower their weapons "but Alex, if you'd be so kind as to give me that?" He gestured to the necklace around Alex's neck.

Val went behind Gabriel, picking up her knife she dropped and put it in her pocket, and then going back next to Gabriel.

Alex looked down at the necklace and then looked back up at Lou "this?" He said, pointing at the necklace.

Lou nodded "yeah"

"This is our only shot at defeating the aliens".

"Yeah. That means someone will pay a lot of money for it"

"Like who?" Val said, everyone turned to her "mostly nobody is here, and even if they are they're either dead, or trying to kill us, which is what you're doing right now".

"Someone, please shut her up"

Gabriel grabbed Val's waist, pulling her closer to him, her back to his chest while his hand went around and covered her mouth "you're going to get us killed". He whispered in her ear, his hot breath fanning over his neck, now, normal she would shiver a little bit, but she was mad at him.

Val looked up at him and glared, shaking her head, she focused back on Alex and Lou.

"Thank you". Lou said to Gabriel, before slowly walking towards Alex which made Val quickly grab her knife out of her pocket "give me. . . The key". He put his hand out.

Alex looked at him shaking his head "I cant". He grabbed the key, putting it under his shirt.

Val put Gabriel's hand down "boy, if he ain't afraid to shoot us what makes you think he afraid to reach his hand down there". Val whispered shaking her head.
