43|Baby shower

Elizabeth POV

It's been three days since Miki and Bangchan disappeared. Turns out the two had to get away for a few days because they needed a small break.

If you asked me I think they ran away together because of romantic reasons. But that's just my opinion. Who knows if they really needed a break from everyone.

Mr J.One and I finally told his parents about our engagement and that we're pregnant. His dad was happy and his mother on the other hand, well that's something else. I don't know if she was happy or upset.

She suggested to have a baby shower today. How can a person have it so early? My belly isn't even showing, yet she wants to have it so early.

This woman is unbelievable. She looks at me with such hatred but she's worried about me. Weird.

"Where should these go? "A man asked Mr J.One's mom.

"You can put those in the living room and hang them up while you're at it. "She said pointing to the living room.

"As you wish, Ma'am. "He said on his way.

She just had the nerve to have this party arranged in my house. Why couldn't she just prepare everything in her own house? Is she scared or something?

Why did Mr J.One talk me in to this again? Oh that's right, because I can't say no to his puffy cheeks and big round eyes. That Darn Squirrel! Why must he be so cute at times?

Does he have hypnotizing powers?

"And now? What's with that face? "She asked looking at me.

I was leaning on the counter of my kitchen table while eating a small jar of nuttella. I had a smile on my face when eating it.

I feel as if I should ask her what's wrong with her face. It always looks so sour when she sees me. What does she have against me?

"Why would you want to know? "I asked before licking the spoon.

"I'm just making small talk. You don't have to be so rude. "She said rolling her eyes.

"When have I ever been rude? "I asked taking another spoonful of nuttella.

"For starters, the outfit that you're wearing is... "She said but I interrupted her.

"What's wrong with my outfit? "I asked looking at my outfit to see if there's anything wrong myself.

"Don't you think it's a little... too black? "She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"What do you mean? At least I don't look as if a rainbow threw up on me. "I said defending myself.

"I didn't mean to upset you Elizabeth. Please don't cry. "

I didn't even realise that I was crying until she mentioned it. I then wiped my cheek with the back of my hand and looked away from her, avoiding her eyes.

"Excuse me. "I said leaving her to go to the bathroom.

I went there to go wash my face off and looked in the mirror. What just happened? Why was I crying all of a sudden?

((Time skip ))

As I walked down to the living room I see all these woman whom I've never seen in my life before. All of them were in my house and I just could do or say anything about it.

My soon to be mother-in-law took a hold of my hand and introduced me to to some of the woman. She also suggested that we'd do some activities for fun.

I wasn't in the mood for the little party she through so I decided to leave. I got on my motorcycle and drove to my special place in Seoul.

As I arrived at my special place, I took off my helmet and just sat there. The cold air against my warm face. As my eyes were closed I took a deep breath in then out.

"I thought I'd find you here. "I heard a familiar voice say.

I looked up and saw Mr J.One standing right in front of me. He looked like he's an angel with the sun shining behind him.

It was such a beautiful sight to see.

"So extraordinary... "

"Excuse me? What was that? "He asked with a small smile.

"What? I didn't say anything. I think you're imaging things Mr J.One "I said trying to change the subject.

"If you say so. "He said moving so that he would be standing next to me.

That way we can both look at the view perfectly. The sunlight made everything sparkle. The trees, the water and even the birds that were there. The view was just breath taking.

"I heard that you left the baby shower. "He said still looking up.

I was looking at him with a frown.

"Yes I did. "I simply said.

I turned to look at him with a sad expression. He turned to me and held both of my hands. He smiled at me before speaking.

"I know my mother doesn't think that you're good enough for me yet. She will have to except you eventually, because you are my wife to be. "He said trying to make me feel better.

He started caressing my hands with his thumbs and kissed the back of each of them.

"And besides, she's going to have to except us one way or another. I love you, Elizabeth. "He said bringing his one hand up to my cheek and caressed it.

I just stood there smiling at him. He always knew how to make me feel better, even though he drives me crazy sometimes.

"Well, I tolerate you Mr J.One. "I said looking into his eyes.

That's when he leaned in and kissed me. The kiss was slow and passionate. He snaked his arms around my waist while my hands were on his chest. His lips were gentle and soft throughout the kiss.

After awhile I pulled away to catch my breath. I looked up at him while panting.

"Let's go to my house. I'm sure you don't want see my mom and her friends right now. "He said with a smile.

How did he know?

I just nodded.

That's when he moved his arm around my shoulder so that he could kiss me on my forehead.
