Chapter 16
"Aww, c'mon! It will be fun! Don't be such a bummer." Yaya said, giving out a sulky pout.
The gang was currently having a video call; Ying proposed going to the mall to hang out. Fang, however, didn't like the idea because he doesn't have fun when he goes to the mall.
"Eh? What are we going to do there? You might just leave us hanging because you'll go to the clothing stores." Fang grumped. "Hey, don't be like that. The only one who'll be doing that is Lia." Leizel defended herself.
"OI!" Lia reacted, crossing her arms, much to Boboiboy's laughter. "I mean, she isn't lying though." Lia sighed, "Whatever... Anyways, it would be fun! Let's go watch a movie. I've heard this movie called The Meg; it was released just last week. It's already at the cinemas."
Yaya nodded, "Oh yeah! I've heard of that too. It's a shark movie. It has good reviews from the audience. Let's go watch that." Gopal grinned, "Yeah! A movie date would be refreshing with all the things that had happened before. We need this break."
"I'm in!" Lia chimed in. Then Boboiboy, Gopal, Yaya, Ying, and Leizel confirmed their presence too. Fang sighed in defeat, "Eeesh. Okay okay, I'm in." His remark caused the rest to cheer.
Lia was already in the car, along with Boboiboy, Fang, and Leizel. The others were already at the mall waiting for them. Nathalia was the one driving them to the mall, "So what movie are you guys watching?"
"The Meg, aunty. It's a shark movie." Leizel excitedly replied. "Eh? I never know you like shark movies." Boboiboy commented. "She does. She'd probably have a pet shark one day." Fang joked, earning a smack from Leizel that made him yelp.
Lia laughed at her friends, then she checked her bag if she's gotten everything. Along with the bag, she's wearing a black sleeveless top that goes under a white cropped cardigan that was opened. She's also wearing a pair of denim jeans that were a boyfriend fit. Her shoes were color white sneakers.
She noticed Leizel's outfit- a white dress with black boots and she was wearing an oversize hoodie. "Is that yours?" She asked. Leizel shook her head, "It's Fang's." Her reply earned a fake gasp from Boboiboy.
Lia nodded, smirking. "I see... Ikaw talaga!" Her remark caused Boboiboy and Fang to look at her confusedly. Leizel laughed, "Alam mo, tuloy mo lang 'yan."
("I see... Oh you!") ("You know what, just continue that.")
Lia and Leizel started conversing in Tagalog, much to the confusion of both Boboiboy and Fang.
"Tignan mo yung dalawa na 'to. Nagtataka na yata kung ano mga pinagsasabi natin." Lia remarked, referring to the two men. Leizel laughed, "Hayaan mo sila."
("Look at these two. They're probably wondering what we're saying.") (Let them be)
Boboiboy leaned over to whisper at Fang, "Do you think she meant we're both good-looking?" Fang nodded, "Well, I hope that's what they're talking about. She is right on that part."
Once the car stopped right in front of the mall entrance, they bid Nathalia goodbye. Lia leaned over to give a kiss to her mom before exiting the car. They all went to the mall and went to the cinema, where Yaya, Ying, and Gopal were waiting for them.
"Finally!" Gopal exclaimed once seeing the four. Yaya waved the tickets to them, "We already got them. The next showing time is 1 hour from now. We should get some snacks first."
Ying noticed Leizel's outfit and saw the hoodie. She felt a pang in her chest because she knew who owns the hoodie she was wearing- it was Fang's. She sighed as she just faced the others.
