| Chapter two

3rd POV

All five friends sat in their assigned seats, took their required equipment and books and placed them on the desk in front of them.
"Good morning class,"the teacher, Mrs Brain, greeted kindly as the class replied back messily. Mrs Brain was a kind woman with red hair just past her shoulders in tight curls, freckles painted fairly across her cheeks.
"Today I will give you free study for the test we have next week for I won't have you again for the trip you have on Wednesday."
Jay sighed in relief and Mina lightly slapped him on the shoulder. He looked towards Mina, her eye browns knitted together as she glared at jay. He quickly turned his attention back towards his desk which was suddenly more interesting than his friends look of disappointment.

Across the classroom Stefan looked towards jay and Mina, sadness settled in his heart as they worked together. He didn't know whether they were dating but the thought of it made him ill. He didn't realise his crush on Jay before he was gone, and took a chunk of his heart with him. He let out a sigh and shook his head to hope to get rid of those thoughts, of course I didn't work but it was worth a shot.
"You will work in partners with the person next to you, you may start." Stefan stiffened for the only person next to him was the one and only, Frankie lee.

"However the class in uneven so... Leah you can go with... frankie and Stefan is that alright?" Mrs Brain asked raising her eyebrows in question
"Oh... erm.. no I don't re-"
"Perfect then it's settled, get on with your work then," She cut Leah off and carelessly walked off to wipe the board clean. Leah however, stood their speechless. They weren't supposed to talked to each over. Where they?

Flashback, two years ago

Leah's POV

My body was frozen with shock, I felt cold, uncomfortable and guilty.
"Oh my g-god, what have we done?" Mina stuttered lightly and span backwards on her feet heading towards the woods, back home.
"Hey?..HEY, where do you think your going," Frankie asked impatiently her voice wavering slightly.
"We can't leave, we're the ones who did this," I implied my voice quieter than I wanted.
"No.. NO, you did this Frankie, YOU cornered him at the edge, YOU killed him, not US, YOU." Jay explained raising his voice slightly but not high enough to attract attention.
"Frankie didn't just do this it was all of us, we all have Josh's blood on our hands," Stefan explained. I looked over nodding my head slightly in agreement. We fell in silence, the only thing you could hear was the crashing of waves over the cliff edges reminding us of what just happened. My feet dragged my body towards the edges of the cliffs like a magnet.
My eyes watered as I peered over the edge. However there was nothing there. Nothing but the waves that crashed against the rocks. I let out a breath I didn't realise I held in and turned around to face the others. They looked at me, melancholy filled their eyes.
"Well... is there anything there?" Jay asked his voice hoarse and raspy.
"No nothing," I replied, although my voice came out just above a whisper.
" we can't speak of this again," my attention was turned to Frankie.
"What?" I asked stepping forwards towards her. "What are you implying?" I asked again.
"We take his stuff and make it seem like we where never hear, you said his body's gone so that's dealt with. We split up never talk to each other again and especially it about THIS! Got it?" Her voice becoming louder towards the end."GOT IT!" Frankie shouted her face going red in anger, I jumped back in fear and shock. "Yes." We all murmured together.
"Good from now on we aren't friends,"
"No I'm staying with jay you can go off without but we have been together for ages,"
"Fine then you two go off, but we can't talk about this again," Stefan replied to Mina his voice demanding and raspy.
"Okay," I whispered not to anyone in particular. We grabbed out stuff Frankie grabbing joshes backpack and headed our separate ways home.

Present

3rd POV

Frankie, Stefan and Leah looked towards each other in shock, it was only an hour nothing could go wrong in a hour, right? Leah walked towards Stefans desk and placed her books down and got to work without muttering a word. Frankie doing the same. They worked in silence for what felt like days but was only around 20 mins.  Leah felt a buzz in her pocket and recognised it as her phone she took it out and looked at the notification.

Leahs face began to feel hot, however when she looked around she realised all five had got the same message. A look of fear flashed through their eyes.
"Oh no," Frankie mumbled beside her. Leah took her hand In hers and held it. They all looked at each other and held a sent a knowing look, 'someone knows' they thought, 'someone knows what we did'
