3rd POV

As Leah reached the cliffs she saw Frankie perched at edges her hair moving lightly with the wind. The moon highlighting her features perfectly, she looked ethereal. To Leah, Frankie had always been beautiful, she stood out like a black and white movie, every step she took was memorised in Leah's brain, every breath, every glance. Leah loved Frankie, too much you could say, because she knew that they couldn't be together. Everything would fall apart.

"Took you long enough." Frankie sounded frustrated but Leah could hear the playfulness in her voice.
"Yeah, well maybe I was asleep!" Leah answered back in the same tone, although she couldn't help the lovesick grin that crept onto her face. But as soon as it came it left again.

Frankie face was wet, moonlit tears ran down her face, like a waterfall. 'Like diamonds' Leah thought, rare but undeniably beautiful. Frankie barely cried but when she did, it meant the world would come crumbling down. See, Frankie was strong, independent, gorgeous, like ice some would say, but everyone knows ice inevitably melts.

"Hey, hey what's wrong?" Leah spoke softly cradling Frankie's face in her hands. Frankie subconsciously leant closer to Leah, her brain not knowing the things it does to the girl next to her. Leah's face painted a soft red, but shook it off knowing it wasn't the time to be in love, although it didn't stop her.

"It was my fault wasn't it?" They locked eyes. Frankie eyes pierced through Leah's, melancholy swirling in her brown iris's. Leah's eyebrows frowned, what was she talking about? Her eyes widened at the sudden realisation.

She was talking about josh.

"No, no it wasn't anyone's fault. Hey, hey look at me," Leah turned Frankie's head towards hers. As they both made eye contact it felt like the world revolves around them to Leah, like they were the only people that mattered right now. And she was right. To Leah, Frankie was the only person that mattered to her, the only person she truly cares about, the only person she truly loves.

Frankie looked towards Leah, a small smile on her face, her eyes brightened up a little.
"Thank you Leah." Frankie sniffled, wiping the tears away with the back of her hand. Leah watched her every move.

"What time is it?" Frankie asked as she wiped her tear stained hand on her trousers.
"2:46" Leah put her phone back in her pocket and looked towards Frankie again, to find she was already looking at Leah.

"Thank you," Frankie repeated her face moving closer to Leah's by the second.
"Any time," Leah's voice was just a breathless whisper, but Frankie still heard it. Their faces getting closer and closer together. Leah could feel Frankie's breath fanning over her lips, sending chills down her spine.

Frankie felt this and let a smirk pull at her lips. She saw Leah's face turn a shade of darker red than it already was. By now there faces were inches apart, noses slightly touching.

The moon watched them with happiness, the stars around them twinkling with glee, it stood tall in the sky proud of how far the two young lovers have come.

As Frankie shuffled her body closer towards Leah, their noses to bumping against each other. Leah closed her eyes and moved her face forward, Frankie doing the same. Lips brushing against each other. Until...

They both pulled back. Their phones going off in their pockets. Both females avoiding eye contact and pulling their phones out there pockets, opening the message.

Don't get too close to the edge, you know what happened last time - unknown

Both girls jumped to their feet, the hair on the back of their necks standing tall. Their faces looking towards the wood behind them trying to see if any one was there. Frankie looked at Leah, her face was pale and she looked as scared as one can be. Frankie grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the woods.

"Let's run," she told her, Leah looked her in the eyes.
"Wh-what.. W-we can't." She answered back. Her voice was high pitched and shaky.
"Yes we can, we are going to run through the woods, okay. Jay and minas house is the closest so we will go there okay?" As they time went by Leah slowly nodded.

Frankie linked there hands together and started running dragging Leah with her. They ran, faster than they ever thought they could, until they reached end of the woods.

They were both panting heavily, sweat ran down their foreheads, hands on there knees.
Although their hands were still inked together tightly. Both of them never wanting to let go of the warmth produced from each other.

"Come on we need to get to jays...or-or minas," Frankie panted out, breathing heavily in between words. They set off again running down the streets, faint orange street lights their only source of light, they ran down the roads hand in hand. No cars drove past, no other people in the street, just them.

As they both came to a stop in front of two, two story houses. They debated who's to knock on first but decided with jays. They walked up the porch and knocked the door. However no one answered, so they knocked and knocked and knocked.

"Let's try minas." Leah mumbled, they walked over to her porch. Leah knocked twice on the door. Nobody answered. She knocked again. Nobody answered. She went to knock again until the door swung open. A tired, disheveled Mina stood in the door way an annoyed look on her face.

"Who is it?" A voice asked behind her. Jay stood there rubbing his eyes with the back of his hands. He looked over minas shoulder, he looked Frankie in the eye then Leah then down to there connected hands. Both Leah and Frankie looked down to see what he was looking at. Their faces blushed a soft pink. Eyes looking anywhere but each other as they let go of each other's hands. Jay looked proud a big grin stretched across his face, unlike Mina who's face was still annoyed.
"What.do.you.want!" Mina asked, her voice raised slightly. Frankie and Leah's face changed, no blush, no embarrassment. They looked them both in the eyes.

"Call Stefan, we need to talk."
