# 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣───────── sooyoung and hyunki were dubbed as the soulmates of l-even by even-ings. its not hard to see how close these two are, they repeatedly mention on camera how they see the other as family. hyunki has also said how his family prefers sooyoung over their own son (as a joke).
hyunki and sooyoung were always the closest pair in l-even because of their friendship with each other before the lineup was put together. hyunki repeatedly likes to mention how without sooyoung their friendship would never blossom, because hyunki was way too reserved when he way younger. sooyoung was the one to approach hyunki one day, after noticing the one sat alone away from the other children. they quickly became close, and even the physical distance that grew between them hasn't stopped their friendship.
hyunki is also the only person in the group who is aware of sooyoung's insecurities and is the first person to notice when something is bothering the other. meanwhile, sooyoung is the one that constantly encourages hyunki and helps him develop his confidence, which hyunki does lack a lot of. they have a strong understanding of each others personalities, and the other members like to joke about how they could probably read each others minds if they tried hard enough.
