Chapter 23 😢

"So what happened?" The female officer with short blond hair said across from me as we both sat on the desk.

"Alex's brother, Diego... he kissed me without my permission and Alex got mad obviously so he bet him up." I say not sure of what to say.

"What is Alexander to you?" She questions. I look up gulping, "my boyfriend." I say, she nods. "Does Alexander and his brother Diego get along?" She asks.

"Well obviously not if Diego is in the hospital because of him." I say.

"Why don't they get along?" She asks. "Family problems, and from what I've seen Diego is really arrogant and he always tries to anger Alex, but I don't know much." I say.

"Since you're of legal age, your parents don't have to be informed about this so you're free to go." She says.

"Is Alex free too?" I ask hopefully. "Diego is injured badly and he's in the hospital right now, which may leave Alexander in jail, unless Diego decides to not press charges." She says standing up and opening the door for me so I get out.

As I walk out the police station I see Jay waiting for me.

"What did you tell them." Jay says to me. "The truth I think?" I say making him raise his eyebrow. "What did you tell them?" I ask him as well, "that he got in a fight because of you." He says.

I take out my phone from the back of my pocket and it lights up my face as it's really dark outside, I look at the time widening my eyes, it's 2am.

"The taxis waiting." Jay says to me. "What about Alex tho." I say sadly. "His parents most likely know already, I'm sure they'll sort it out like they always did." He says making me confused.

"What do you mean like they always did?" I ask following him to the taxi. "Oh you'd be surprised if you'd knew how many times he went to jail." He says as he walks to the car opening the car door and sitting beside the driver.

I get in the backseat.

"So where we going kids." The taxi driver asks plastering a funny smile on his face as he looks at me through the mirror.

Jay says my address to the man and in no time we're there. I step out the car Jay following me.

"Just don't tell anyone that Alex is in jail okay." Jay tells me, I nod then he chuckles making me raise my eyebrow, "What?" I say. "He's really-like literally in love with you." He says instantly making me smile. "The other day he said he'd kill for you if he had to which made me worry..." he says making me frown.

"...Look what I'm trying to say is don't hurt him, he's my best friend, he's too attached to you." Jay says. "I would never hurt him, I love him." I say confused he was telling me this with so much sadness in his voice.

"Well okay, imma go then." He says walking backwards putting his hand in the air in a waving sing, he then walks away getting back in the taxi.

-The Next Day-

I woke up early getting ready to go to Alex's house to see what's new, and to talk to Taylor about him.

I knock on the door and suddenly it opens with Taylor's face popping out, she opens the door wider pulling me in quickly.

I see Elena sitting down on the couch throwing popcorn in her mouth.

"Sup bitch." Elena says noticing me "hi." I say.

We all sit on the couch.

"Any news about Alex?" I ask and their expression confuses. "What do you mean?" Elena says. "Oh yeah why didn't he come home yesterday, was he with you?" Taylor says.
