The golden sunlight spilled into the small Bangkok apartment as Charlotte stood at the stove, flipping pancakes with practiced ease.

The aroma of coffee and syrup filled the air, mixing with the faint sound of bustling streets below.

On the couch, Engfa lounged like a queen, scrolling through her phone.

“Nuu, are you making pancakes because you’re sweet, or because you feel guilty for kicking me in your sleep last night?” she called out, her Thai accent thick but playful.

Charlotte turned, spatula in hand, smirking. “Excuse me, *Phi Engfa,* you’re the one who slept like a starfish and stole the blanket. I was defending myself.”

Engfa gasped dramatically, sitting up on the couch with a grin. “Bebe, I never knew you could be so cruel! I’m just trying to be cozy!”

Charlotte chuckled, shaking her head. “You’re lucky I love you, or you’d be out in the living room, freezing.”

“Oi, don’t pretend like you could survive without me,” Engfa said, her voice teasing, her playful grin never fading. She got up and walked over, wrapping her arms around Charlotte from behind, her breath warm against her neck.

Engfa reached for a pancake on the plate, but Charlotte swatted her hand with the spatula.

“Don’t even think about it, Engfa,” Charlotte warned, her tone stern but her smile gave her away.

Engfa leaned in close, grinning mischievously. “You’re lucky you’re cute when you’re bossy, khun Charlotte.”

Charlotte rolled her eyes, but the smile tugging at her lips was impossible to hide. “Go set the table before I really kick you out of here.”

Engfa dramatically placed a hand over her heart. “Yes, ma’am! The things I do for you, khun Charlotte,” she said, giving a mock salute.

As they sat down to eat, Engfa snuck a bite of Charlotte’s pancakes, making Charlotte laugh. “Hey! Get your own,” she scolded, but her tone was light.

“What?” Engfa grinned, unapologetic. “Your food tastes better. Must be the love you put into it.”

Charlotte shook her head, smiling despite herself. “You’re impossible.”

“And you love me for it,” Engfa replied, winking.

Charlotte tried to roll her eyes, but her soft laugh gave her away.

Their mornings were always like this—teasing, playful arguments, and so much love it felt like their hearts might burst.

Charlotte couldn’t help but smile, her heart swelling as she looked at Engfa. Life in the spotlight was intense, but these quiet mornings, just the two of them, were the moments she cherished most. Despite the fame, the constant paparazzi, and the endless work, here in their little world, everything felt perfect.

But as she watched Engfa laugh, carefree and teasing, Charlotte couldn’t shake a feeling deep in her chest. This happiness—this life they shared—felt so fragile. Still, for now, she pushed the thought aside. All that mattered was this moment, the two of them, happy and in love.

After Charlotte and Engfa finished breakfast, the morning sun creeped higher in the sky. They had settled into a comfortable silence, the kind that only long-time lovers shared, when Engfa suddenly looked up from her plate, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

“Cha,” Engfa said, a playful smile tugging at her lips, “I was thinking... we should take a vacation. Just the two of us. Somewhere quiet, like a beach, away from all the cameras and chaos.”
