A Conundrum

Jake is excited for their tour. He has been giddy for days and just happy overall to share this experience with Jade. Though he was able to share the tour experience with her in the past, this time is different for both of them. Jade has been a solid support for him throughout the years.

She attends their concerts or tours when she can, she stays with them at the hotel per their request. She has been so supportive of their career ever since. She even gifted Jake a Gibson G-45 acoustic guitar to bring with him while he's touring, gave Sean a Panasonic Lumix GH5 mirrorless camera so he can take beautiful photos and videos while on tour, and even gave Teddy an Elektron Digitone to play with and make his beats on the go.

They are in the studio for practice and to  finalize their set list for the interstate tours as well as the world tour. Together with Sean and their drummer, Teddy, they brainstorm for hours on which songs would suit best for the different tour stops. When they took a break, Sean, Eric and Teddy decided to talk to Jake about something important that may or may not affect their tour and his personal life.

"Hey, can we talk?" Sean asked Jake. "Yeah, sure." He immediately put down his guitar and turned his attention to Sean. He was surprised when Eric and Teddy also took their seats at the lounge area. "Is there something wrong?" Jake asked, sensing the worry in their eyes.

"Nothing's wrong. Well, we may have a concern." Eric started the conversation, as the two bandmates had a hard time figuring out how to say it to Jake. "Is it about our set list? Our schedules? The NDA?" Jake asked, as he straightened his back. He was anxious what this unscheduled meeting was about. His mind was going at a lightning speed- he's overthinking again.

"No, bud. It's not about that. It's actually about you and Jade." Teddy finally said. Jake's eyebrows furrowed, he looked at the three of them. He was confused. He was about to say something when Sean beat him to it. "What do you plan on doing with the whole Jade situation? Have you decided to date publicly or make an announcement?"

Jake was stunned. He has not had this conversation with Jade at all. It suddenly dawned on him that she will be put on the spotlight once people know what the status of their relationship is. Most of their fans already know her as Jake's best friend, and they've been friendly and nice to her when they see her during the band's tour.
"I haven't had the chance to talk to her specifically about this. We haven't really discussed about coming out publicly. We've both been busy to talk about it." Jake reasoned.

"It's okay. An article about Apex teaming up with Century PR will be released tomorrow, with the information of Jade managing the whole PR and styling for the tour." Eric chimed in.

"Does she know about the article?" Jake asked. Eric gave him a nod, and added that it was a mutual decision from the record label, the PR firm and the management team as a means of boosting up the hype surrounding the tour. He said it will also help since Jade, being the best in the field, is a familiar name in the industry so it will get more traction for them.

"Why don't you call her? Talk to her. Ask her what she feels like doing. Is she going to be okay publicly dating you? I mean she has dated a few popular people in the past and it didn't harm her or her career. She's dealt with them professionally." Sean offered. He also suggested that if they get to talk it out, it would be best to come out publicly just so they won't have to bear the problems caused by hiding or secretly dating. Jake said he'll mention it to Jade once they get to talk.

"Talk to her soon. How about later? Or tomorrow. We have a few days of rest before we fly out to Fort City for all the formalities and meetings." Teddy added.

"Hmm... I have an idea. Hey Eric, do you still have Jade's assistant's number?" Jake asked. "Yeah, why?" Eric answered back.
"I just need to ask her something, I don't wanna bother Jade right now." Jake sheepishly smiled, as Eric gave him Aspen's number.
