Ch.21 Banquet

We had defeated Maple. I thought I was over but...

I stared in shock as Maple stabbed Mai through the chest. It was clear she was not going to survive.

"No way." Mai smiled sadly.

"Mai!" Q-taro yelled in worry.

"I still..." she coughed slightly, "..have a promise to..."

"Now, Maple, don't do that." Joemama69(; scolded her, "She'll just end up like Kurumada this way. You have to finish her off.."

"Q-taro... I'm sorry." Mai mumbled before loosing consciousness.

Maple finished her off.

The green haired psycho grinned, "Good for you! You did the job right! Ahahah... what would you like as a reward, Maple?"

".. I don't need one.." she responded, "Hey, Hiyori.. shall we die together?"

He seemed startled, "Huh?"

It was quiet for a few moments before he said more.

"You die by yourself. I'm good." He smiled wearily, "If I die, the dummies collars will explode."

Joemama69(; smirked at us. He thought he had won.

However, I think the dolls were willing to sacrifice themselves.

They were already dead anyway and they haven't really been living. It was only a matter of time until their batteries ran out anyway.

All of the dummies went into the coffins.

They all closed and sunk beneath the ground.

Was this it? Were we finally going to escape?

We walked down the dark hallway and saw a light at the end.

There was a man in a black suit sat there.

He smirked when he saw us, "Heyoo! I've been withering away waiting!"

Oh no.. is this not the exit? Was this a trap?

"Where's everyone in the coffins?" Sara asked, panicked.

"Aw, c'mon.... Not even a hello? They're fine, just fine. You'll meet them soon..." he responded, "Oops, pardon me. I'm Meister, who'll be overseeing proceedings for the banquet. Now, I'm gonna have you select a challenger."

Won't this cause fighting between us?

"I'll do it." I stated.

Everyone gave me incredulous looks.

Shin shook his head no.

"Big sis Y/n..." Gin frowned, "What are you going to make us do, meow!?"

"The game is Russian Roulette. It's a test of luck between the challengers. Allow me to introduce the other challenger."

As he said that I noticed someone stood in the background.

Is that... Joemama69(;?!

He smirked at us.

"Quit it." Q-taro yelled angrily.

"Ahaha. Now, which coffin will you pick first?" Joemama69(; asked.

I noticed two coffins.

Q-taro insisted he inspected them.

"They're probably both the same. We still haven't picked the challenger, though I said I'd do it." I stated.
