Marcus POV

"You have pissed me off Krev." I told the man was was on his knees pleading for his life . "I had warned you before not get involved in petralli familia. Still you didn't listen. "

"Please forgive me Marcus. I was blinded with greed. Let me live...have mercy"
He begged and cried on my feet.

"I am out of mercy." I said in a cold voice and shot him straight in the head.
Blood splattered and his lifeless body fell down.

Few blood drops were left on my shoes. I wiped them with his cold lying body.

I ordered my men to dispose of the bodies.

I wonder how can someone like me for what I am. The profession I am in is hell itself. So loving me is surrendering yourself up to the devil.

I put the gun back in my clasp inside my jacket.

I wonder how Violetta is reacting to all this. I couldn't even accompany her. I wanted to have a romantic date with her but, this came up suddenly. I know it's to fast to introduce her in my world. The ugly dull monochrome world of me. But... I took a chance.

I want to be by her side as soon possible. I came out of the tent when I met Vincent.

"Where is Violetta? "

"She is at the tent finished treating the kids."

We walked together towards her location. "So, how did she seemed?" I asked Vincent worried," running for hills yet?"

He chuckled," I don't know why do I doubt your choice Marcus. She is one tough bird. I can see she was shaken up but she handled it calmly. She works good under pressure it. Won over the kids. You were right she is something." He smiled crossing his arms.

"Told you." I smirked at him.

We were half way there when we noticed few trucks standing there. "Those are not your trucks Marcus."

I immediately took out my gun. " be cautious! I think someone has intercepted our mission."

Then only I heard hun shots went up. Screams could be heard. My heart raced. Violetta!!

You take that side and I will take this. We told each other with eyes. 

I ran towards the screams.

I saw few men were loading the kids in a different truck. Those are not our people!

I swiftly made my way towards the truck as Vincent gave me cover.

They got inside and were about to start the engine to drive off. We both stood out of their window.

"Hey!" I shouted.

They noticed us and before they could reach for their guns, I shot him in the head. So did Vincent.

More men were coming our way!

We didn't waste any minute and started showering bullets at them. All head shots. We already had training and this was child's play for us.

When we finished our clothes were drenched in red blood. Still Violetta was no where to be seen.

Vincent shouted ," Marcus! I have located her. Go to the east wing of the tent. She is there! I can hold the others off."

I nodded and left Vincent to finish the job here. I need not worry about him. I had faith in his skills. My priority was Violetta, I brought her here. She is my responsibility. I cannot let anything happen to her!
