"i can't believe this is happening!"
amber whispered to herself, hands trembling as she clutched onto her phone. she scrolled through social media, with her half-closed eyes, peering at her screen which was abundant with false news of her and taehyung.
unfortunately, amber was left with a sleepless night after receiving hanna's text message. not only did she have to put up with celebrity drama involving her, but also a 7 hour shift that her frenemy made her do.
of course she couldn't say no to hanna.
even with all the false information and hate surfacing on different social media platforms, she didn't dare to face away from the screen and continued to hurt herself by scrolling further and reading articles that made her face scrunch up.
"how can taehyung date a person who works as a cashier in a cafe? pathetic. there are other people he could've chose."
that wasn't the first comment she had read that made her insides to squirm, almost as if she was about to vomit from the occurring hate she was receiving. every word she read lessened her self esteem by a great amount.
amber sighed and stuffed her phone inside of her back pocket after having enough of the rumours. she looked pale in her scruffy uniform.
this was something new to her, something she had never experienced in her 21 years of living. it shocked her that her only true friend would cause such a bad impact on her life.
however, she felt that blaming everything on taehyung was selfish as she was the one who told an untrusting "friend" who constantly made her question the whole situation.
amber definitely had a lot of suspicion over hanna who knew too much information and wanted to gain too much information.
"hanna.." amber again whispered to herself in deep thought.
but her thoughts got interrupted when a deafening sound echoed across the once quiet room.
amber's head shot up for her weary eyes to meet with a swarm of customers who rushed into the cafe as if battling to win a race.
amber's eyes wandered with pace at the huge amount of what she thought was customers huddled around the cashier desk, cameras flashing in her face, microphones desperate for her to speak and beady eyes staring into her soul as if she was some sort of celebrity.
suddenly, her whole body went into panic mode and froze on the spot.
the ringing noise of the flickering of cameras and the muffling of people's voices that was distinctly hard to understand blasted in amber's ears.
she was a deer caught in the headlights.
reporters clutched onto their notepads and pens, desperate for a word to come out of the poor, introvert's mouth. nothing was coming out.
"address the situation!"
"are you really dating kim taehyung?"
"who are you?"
"why would you do such thing?"
"you're such a bad influence on a celebrity."
she heard all the questions that spat out of the people's mouths with venom, but couldn't find the courage to answer anything. it was as if she was on mute.
it took her back to the days of when she was still living with her parents.
her eyes couldn't stay in one position. they blurred every time she set her gaze on someone new but, something caught her attention instantly.
a figure. a fairly familiar figure who hid outside of the cafe as if they themselves was involved in everything as well.
