i had no friends since i was young because i barely talked to people. i was too scared to speak up. even my parents found that a problem since i even rarely talked at home. my mum got frustrated because of it and thought me being mute was all her fault. my dad got frustrated at my mums frustration. arguments led to fights which lead to divorce papers. that's how my family fell apart. and it was all my fault.

amber, i'm so sorry to hear that. how are things going now? is your family okay?

i stayed with my dad. barely met my mum since she purposely distanced herself. i grew up with him and talked more to make him happy. it was hard but i tried. then more years passed and i began to talk even more but the problem was, i wasn't being myself.

i started to make people like me by being some person who i'm totally not just to fit in. and it worked but it left me feeling useless and i started to not know who i really was.

now i'm 21 and it's still kind of the same. but i've found me but i still can't express the real me to other people... except for you. i can be myself around you
