Jenny's POV:
I just got done doing my bar routine and I stuck it, I stuck it which means my ankle hurts 5x more now than it did. It just got announced that I won but I don't even care I am hurting so bad like never before, I get carried out of the gym by my mom and the medics on my way out I say Olivia with a scarred look on her face and everybody else shocked and worried. To the hospital I go.
I arrive at the trauma hospital my mom is worried more than ever and she looks like she is about to drop down and cry for the rest of her life, I get administered into a small hospital room with only me and my mom in the room.
Whitney: Jenny? "Jenny bean" she cries, baby are you okay?! talk to me
Me: i'm OK mom, I didn't pass out just I have no idea what I've done to my ankle
Whitney: that's what doctors are for they already took your x-ray and they're going to be back with results in a few-
As my mom was finishing her sentence a doctor walks in
Doctor Ernie: hello Whitney and Jenny Cortez, I am Dr. Ernie, now the x-ray results brought back that jenny here has an intense double-buckle ankle fracture, it will take at most four weeks to recover
I can see my mom crying from the corner of my eye, I feel so bad because she warned me this was gonna happen and I can see the PTSD just crawling right back into her
Whitney: so what do we have to do doc, should she stay home and rest for those four weeks
Dr.Ernie: yes that would be most required
Dr.Ernie: now you can be examined out of the hospital tonight because it is not as big of a deal as any other injury, I will tell you when you're free to go
The doctor walks out of the room and I see my mom still crying
Me: mom it's going to be OK I just need to get some rest
Whitney: yeah sweetie, I know get some rest
Me: thank you mom
Me: hey mom? I ask
Whitney: yeah jenny bean?
Me: did I really win that competition?
Whitney: yes, yes you did sweetheart
I go to sleep for a few seconds just dreaming and fantasizing over my win, then two people come into the hospital room
Rachel: SURPISE
Keisha: we knew you wanted to see us so we are here!
Me: UGH, do you guys always have to be wherever I go? Can I just please be alone and sleep
Rachel and Keisha look up at my mom shocked, and my mom looks back at them not knowing what to say, I personally just needed some space from them, they are great now just kind of random and I don't know it's just I kind of want to have best friends that align with me and have the same personal interests as me
Rachel and Keisha leave the room
Whitney: Jenny?? What was that
Me: I just want to have some space from them right now, they're kind of random I've been noticing lately, I've kind of been bonding with Bops and Tori lately and I feel like they have more of my personal interest
Whitney: okay well you go to bed
The next moment other people walk into the room
Me: oh my God who is it-
Joon: it's Joon, hi Jenny. I hope you don't mind that I brought Kiko too
Me: oh hey joon, ya that's fine I guess
Joon is my little brother, he's three years younger than me, he's literally like my best friend so of course I'm going to let him come visit me, Kiko too, he's kind of cute
Joon: I brought you some flowers, Kiko thought of the idea so we did it
Kiko: I guessed that you liked daisies I don't know tho-
I cut him off with a hug
Jenny: thank you so much Kiko, I really needed this right now
He pulls out of the hug smiling
Joon: OK?? He said confusingly, we are going to go
Joon: bye mom
Kiko: bye jenny! Hope you feel better, oh and I hope you like your flowers
Jenny: Bye Kiko!
Whitney: wow you sure seem to be in a good mood after you just weren't
Jenny: no I'm good
Whitney: well you better like Kiko because his sister Cassie in Joon are dating
Jenny: Joon And Cassie?!?
Dating??
