Alex smiled as he walked over to Lafayette, John, and Hercules. Aaron wasn't there, he was playing-or, maybe flirting-with some girls.

"C'est trop beau! Trop bien trop bien trop bien!" Lafayette was saying, rolling over with laughter.

"What's too good?" asked Alex, sitting down next to John.

"Ze-ze-" stuttered Lafayette, unable to speak because he was rolling around laughing. "Wait. You speak French?" he asked, sitting up.

"Yeah," replied Alexander. "So,' he continued, "what's too good?"

It took Lafayette a few minutes to calm down, but when he did he explained. "We're gonna prank George!"

"George?"

"Oh, I forgot you're new. Well, bazeecally zere's theez older kid, maybe second grade, who thinkz hez za king. He's alwayz picking on us 'cause we don't listen to heem like ze other kids do. He usually hitz us with heez scepter, which is bazically a stick he threw-'ow you say?-gleeter on," Lafayette said in his thick french accent.

"Oh."

"Look, he's over there!" screamed Hercules.

Alex followed his gaze and saw a tall, slightly chubby boy wearing a red cape and holding a pink, glittery stick. "So you're gonna prank him?"

"Yeah," said John, "It's gonna be awesome. We're gonna put spiders on his cape!" He showed Alex a jar of bugs. "Wanna help?"

"I don't know, it doesn't seem like a good idea..."

"Aw, are you chicken?" asked Hercules.

"No!" said Alex. "No! I am not throwing away my shot! I am not throwing away my shot! I'm the diamond in the rough, a shiny piece of coal, tryin' to reach my goal, and my power of speech is unimpeachable! I'm only six years old, but my mind is older! I am not throwing away my shot!"

"That was great and all," said John, "but what does un-oh-peachy-bull mean?"

"Unimpeachable means trustworthy. It's like I'm saying you can't doubt my words."

"Ohhhh..."
