Allyssa is the biologic daughter of Frank and the cusin of Mary. Life is going great and they are just one big family until Mary starts to show signs of her being "Gifted".

This story is based on the movie "Gifted". I imagine Allyssa going to the stand during Mary's trial and getting kind of aggressiv and saying very clearly the Mary is "Like a sister" to her.
I feel like she would also be gifted just not in the same ways as Mary more in a Music or sports type of way which ever you prefer.
