she wakes you for cuddles

The mattress dipped slightly as Hyunjin laid down beside you. She was being as quiet as possible because you were already sound asleep beside her.

She put her head on the pillow with a sigh. Her eyes felt heavy, so she caved in without a second thought and closed them. She was exhausted and her body ached a little after spending so much time in practice today.

She let all of her worries fade from her mind.

She's home with you now, in the comfort of your warm and cozy bed. Everything was just fine.

She'd pull you close if she didn't want to risk waking you up. But she knows you had a long day yourself and she didn't want to disturb your slumber.

So she settled on telling you goodnight and covering up with the blankets. She figured that she'd be okay and she'd be fast asleep in no time.

But she was wrong.

Falling asleep without you in her arms is always so much easier said than done. She felt restless beside you and despite the warmth of the blanket, she didn't feel warm enough.

She rolled over to face you. You were laying on your side with your back facing her. She could hear the soft breaths falling from your lips as you slept soundly.

She wanted to hold you more than anything, needing to feel your warmth and the comfort only you can give her.

Her day was anything but good and she's been missing you like crazy. You've been running through her mind every minute of every day.

Despite the fact that she doesn't want to wake you, she can't resist.

She shook you awake slowly, her hand brushing against your shoulder as she softly spoke your name.

"Y/N? Y/N? Wake up. Please?"

You opened your eyes and blinked a few times to adjust to the darkness. You turned over slowly and before you could say a word, she brought you into her arms tightly. She gently pushed your head onto her chest and tangled your legs with hers.

"I'm sorry I woke you but I needed to cuddle you. I needed to hold you."

"That's okay, Hyunjin. I never mind you waking me, especially for cuddles."

She smiled and buried her lips into your hair to press kisses across your head.

"I love you so much." She whispered and you tilted your head up so she'd give you some kisses on your lips, which she was more than happy to do.

"I love you too. Did you have a good day?"

She found it so sweet how, despite how exhausted you are, you're still wanting to know how her day was. It was just another reason for her to fall even more in love with you.

"It doesn't matter how it was. It's over and I'm home now with you. That's all that matters."

You hummed contentedly as she gently scratched along your back and leaned her head against yours. You closed your eyes and listened to every beat of her heart as you drifted off to sleep, cozy and warm in her embrace.

And thanks to you, she was finally able to close her eyes and get a good night's sleep too. You're truly all she ever needs.
