you have cramps

Hyunjin was surprised to find that the living room was empty when she walked through the door. It was early in the evening and a rare occasion when she gets home before midnight.

She figured she'd find you on the sofa or maybe making a meal for yourself. But you weren't anywhere to be found.

"Babe? Where are you at?" She called out as she walked up the stairs, taking them rather quickly. She appeared in the doorway just a few seconds later and found you lying in bed.

That was strange on its own, considering you only curl up in bed so early when you're feeling unwell.

"Y/N?" She spoke softly and you whimpered in response.

When she finally stood in front of you, you slowly opened your eyes. She noticed that you were holding onto your stomach and biting your lip, which instantly worried her.

"Are you sick, baby?" She asked as she sat on the edge of the bed and touched your forehead. "You don't feel like you're running a fever."

"I'm not. I'm not sick, Hyunjin. I have really bad cramps. I can't even leave the bed."

She frowned and brushed her hand along your arm.

"What can I do? Need a hot water bottle or a heating pad?"

"Yes please."

She nodded and walked out of the room, catching a glimpse of you pulling your knees to your chest to try to find a comfortable position to ease the pain while she was away.

She returned to you groaning. There were a couple of beads of sweat on your forehead and you were still clutching your stomach.

She plugged in the heating pad you left downstairs and turned it up all the way before pulling your shirt up and placing it against your stomach.

"That should help." She said as she brushed a lock of hair behind your ear. "What else do you need? Do you have enough pads? How about chocolate? Have you been drinking a lot of water? Do you need more?'

Her questions all came out in a rush. You chuckled a little, finding it so sweet how she wanted to care for you.

"I have enough pads. I bought extra last month, so I should be okay. But I could use some water."

She nodded and stood up to walk out of the room, only for you to stop her by gently grabbing her wrist.

"And some chocolate." You added with a small pout and she nodded.

She went downstairs and got them both for you before coming back and handing you the glass of water to sip on.

She put the candy on the nightstand as you took her by the hand after putting your water down, wordlessly telling her you just wanted to be cuddled for now.

She happily laid down beside you.

"Could you rub my back?"

"Of course, baby." She said and you turned over onto your side for her to begin to rub it. "How are your cramps?"

"They were starting to slowly ease with the heating pad. Then you began to rub my back and you just have the magic touch, because it's helping."

She giggled and kissed your shoulder.

"It's comforting. You're comforting, Hyunjin."

"I'm happy to help in any way that I can. I know how terrible periods can be. I'd do anything for you, just to make you feel better."

"You're amazing." You hummed as you closed your heavy eyes.

You were already feeling much better. Hyunjin could tell and she couldn't hold back the smile on her face knowing that she was the reason why.

"You're the amazing one, my love." She said and kissed your shoulder twice more. "Now try to sleep. If you need anything, I'm right here to get it for you."

You nodded and started to drift off to sleep. Her comforting touch and the heat from the heating pad were bringing you immense relief.

But you couldn't fall asleep without doing one more thing. Telling her,

"I really love you, Hyunjin."

"I love you so much more." She whispered softly with a bright smile on her face as she continued to rub your back for you, happy to continue doing that for as long as you needed her to.
