They start missing you when they fail at replacing you.

~•~•~

It's been a week.

A long, hard and busy week. With the girls and I planning a whole ball to the missions I have on the side, it's a hassle. I haven't see much of Leonardo.

Not complaining.

It's not that we've been avoiding each other but about the fact that I shot him putting him on bed rest for two weeks. From what I've heard from Liam and the others, he's recovering quickly.

Yay!

Sarcasm. That was sarcasm.

In a few days time, he's most likely to be out of bed and back in the office. Enough about him, let's move on to a different problem.

Ronaldo is a big pain in the ass.

Not once has he stopped messaging or calling me. I had to block him on everything and even then he found a way to contact me. I got looks from everyone each time my phone went off. It's honestly annoying since everyone is assuming - despite what I've told them - that he's my boyfriend.

I'm pretty sure all of this is going back to Leonardo.

"Ella, can your bring this up to Leonardo?" Kesha asked, with her phone pushed against her ear using her shoulder as she handed me a tray. I looked at her as if she grew three heads, twelve arms, a second mouth and an extra eye.

"You're joking, right?" I asked and she shook her head.

"I really have to leave. Make sure Leo takes these tablets, it'll help for his recovering  but he's refusing to take them." she explained and not even waiting for my reply, she was gone.

Great.

I grabbed the tray and made my way up to Leonardo's room. I remembered the last time I was here. When I got drunk and said some concerning things. Leonardo's room is at the far end of the corridor. The quietest side of the house.

I swallowed my pride, adjusting the tray in my hand and knocking on the door. Silence. I knocked again and got the same response. Instead of knocking again, I waited, in hopes of the door opening.

It didn't.

My patience wearing thin, I twisted the knob and let myself in. I met an empty room but I heard the shower on. I placed the tray on the bed and moved to the door, then I remembered Kesha's words.

'Make sure Leo takes these tablets,'

Do I have to? I mean, really think about it. Does he have to get better.

Unless you want Kesha, you kill you, I think you should.

Point taken.

I looked around the room, intaking every feature. I moved closer to the book shelf. I didn't know he read. How did I miss this? As I looked through the shelf of books, I didn't even hear the sound of the shower turning off.

"You really need to start knocking, princess." I heard Leonardo's voice from behind me. I didn't turn around instead I picked out a book from the shelf.

Den of Vipers.

"I did knock, you just didn't answer. So I let myself in." I said, examining the book and he hummed.

"Is there something you want?" he asked.

"Kesha sent up breakfast and your tablets." I explained, turning around but I wished I didn't.
