7:45am, y/n and nova's condo
—"y/n...Y/N WAKE YO ASS UP" nova came bursting into your room, turning on the light.
"damn im up turn the light off" you groaned rubbing your eyes before putting the sheet over your head. although your eyes were closed, the bright light still disturbed you, causing your mood to be ruined already
"c'mon get ready we're going out for breakfast before school" she turned the light back off and walked over to your window to open up the curtains, letting orange streaks enter.
it was officially your first day of college and you were not looking forward to it at all. you haven't interacted much with anyone over the summer break after spending most of your time at the library reading romance novels and mangas. you were trying your best to enjoy your own company.
nova thought that once you had food in your system, your mood would lighten up and make you more interested in meeting new people.
you sighed as you got up from your gray king sized bed, putting on your fluffy pink slippers and made your way to your ensuite bathroom.
once you finished your morning routine, you walked over to your closet to look for an outfit. clothes were laid out on the floor and hangers were everywhere but at least you picked out an outfit that you were comfortable with.
your outfit consisted of a cream flannel with blue accents that was tied at the front making it into a crop top and a pair of blue high waisted mom jeans. you had chosen to wear your off-white jordan 4s and added a few gold accessories.
it was hot in california today so light makeup was the best option. you did concealer, highlight, mascara, brown lip liner and lip gloss. it was hot outside and you didn't want your makeup to melt off.
entering the living room, you saw nova sitting on the couch texting someone. she was wearing a baby pink mini dress with an oversized blue jean jacket. her curly hair was in a half up half down style and she had gold jewelry on.
you went over to her and snatched her phone out of her hand, causing her to look at you with a confused expression, "girl what the fuck? gimme my shit back," you rolled your eyes before turning her phone off and throwing it back to her. "i could care less about what's on your phone, let's go i'm hungry."
the two of you made your way downstairs to the parking garage spotting nova's white mercedes benz. she came from a wealthy family but she was an only child so she often came over to your place to hang out with you and your brother omari.
as soon as you got in the car you connected your phone to bluetooth. session 32 by summer walker started playing and nova immediately turned it off. "bro why'd you turn it off" you slumped down in your seat with your arms crossed.
