I brought flowers to your door last night
I done you wrong and I wanna make it right
You say I'm not welcome here
I know it oughta be perfectly clear
But I can't help but wonder what it might be like

If I had two dozen roses
And an older bottle of wine
If I really coulda hung the moon
Would it change your mind

If I could cry a little harder
And get a little less sleep at night
If I had two dozen roses
Would it change your mind

Oh I musta been a fool back then
To lose somethin' that you can't have again
I've done all that I know to do
And second guess my every move
But I can't help but wonder how it might have been

"Hey Daddy"

"Hey sweetheart. How are you?"

"Can't complain. I just got back from that Relay For Life fundraiser."

"That's great darlin'. Look Rors I had a reason for calling, and I'm hoping I'm not making a mistake here."

"Ok.... What's up?"

"A boy stopped by the house earlier looking for you. Said his name was Killian."

    And just like that all the oxygen left the room.

"Rory honey are you there?"

"Yes sir I'm here. Uh what did you say to him?"

"Well I told him that if he was really your friend he'd know how to get up with you, but he seemed pretty desperate. Asked me to tell you to call him. He said he'd be in town until 8 tonight."

"You didn't tell him where to find me?"

"No. Should I have?"

"No sir. Thank you Daddy."

"You wanna tell me what's going on?"

"Nothing that matters anymore. I'll talk to you later Daddy. Thank you again."

"Anytime sweetheart. I love you."

"I love you too."

"What the hell was that?"

"I don't know Steph."

"Are you going to call him?"

"No, but you are."

"And why would I do that?"

"Because I may not want to talk to him or see him, but I don't want him wasting all day here for nothing. That would be a bitch move."

"And what he did wasn't?"

"Please Steph?"

"Fine. Give me the douchebag's number."

~~~~Buzz, Buzz, Buzz~~~~
"Rory?"
"Yeah. No. Not Rory. This is her friend Stephanie."
"Oh, how did you get this number?"
"Look, Rory asked me to call and tell you to go on home."
"Why didn't she call me herself?"
"Do you really have to ask? I'd have just let you waste all day driving around town, but she's not me. She's nicer than that. Though Lord knows you don't deserve it. She's not stupid. She's smart enough to know that if you're calling it's because the other woman left you. Rory's too good to be anyone's second choice. Go home Killian and leave the girl alone. You've done enough already."
