Wednesday, June 25: Chicago, IL; The Brooks Home (Punk's house)

(Afternoon)

PAIGE POV-

I enter the large tan colored mansion that is my boyfriend's house.

Such a different scenery from my small apartment in Orlando.

There's so much moving room to actually breathe in.

The last time I was here, AJ slapped me in the face then tackled me. I'll never forget the night where I had to witness a marriage implode in front of my very eyes.

I can still feel her hand making contact with my cheek.

Flashes and images project inside my head as I hover the same spot where my throat and stomach were once tied together.

Phil carries my rolling bag for me and passes the same area. I have an immense amount of empathy for him, he has it so much worse.

This is his house, after all.

It was his life that I disrupted, after all.

"Hey Saraya, you alright?" His muscular frame slides into my vision.

I nod, "Just thinking... I should really be asking you if you're alri-" my hand lifts to grip his shoulder.

"No I'm fine. You're thinking about that night, aren't you?"

I nod once again, "It's hard to shake out of my mind. I'm sorry for making you go through that pain, Phil."

"Hey, hey. Don't apologize, I told you before none of this was your fault," He grabs me by the waist and I'm forced to step closer against his body, "Sure it hurt, but I'm better now. I'm happier because of you."

His big brown puppy dog eyes are too hard to resist from forming a consolation smile.

"Now stop thinking about it and remember today. Some of my family are coming over soon and I'm sure they don't want to meet you when you're all down and stuff."

"How do you always manage to make me forget about everything and make me happy instead?"

"I hope it's because I love you too much to let you be anything else."

Ladies and gentlemen, he's done it once again.

My palms enclose his jaw and I tilt my own to meet my favorite pair of lips.

His family's, well sister's opinions and what they have to say about this divorce situation are haunting.

I really don't know what to expect.

First impressions are important, but they've had more than one of me, none of them exactly holy.

Given my naturally shy nature, how am I supposed to talk them into liking me with what they already know?

Saraya, put on your big girl pants.

Before they arrive, I change into another outfit, a tight stripe patterned muscle crop top with a black skirt that hugs my hips, with wedges to complete it.

Leaving one of the restrooms having just finished fixing my hair, I walk around to find him in his "man cave".

I instantly glance at the wooden shelves and the walls filled with books, comics, DVDs, action figures, posters, movies, frames and replica title belts displayed on a shelve with glass doors.
