The next day of school was basically the same, just like every out day. The same group of girls stood by my locker and I was late for class again. "Emma, you know I'm going to have to talk to your mother about this." Ms. Jennings stated as I walked in the door.
"Yes I know." I muttered.
"See me after class please." she commented. I nodded and took my seat. But today was different, somehow. Nathalie didn't even say a word to me. Maybe she wasn't in the mood, or maybe she got into trouble. "I could use some help, so would any want to pass out papers for me?" she said.
Nobody raised their hand.
She got out of her seat. "Okay then, Nathalie! Please come up and pass these out." Ms. Jennings said sounding quite joyful. She held out a stack of assignments in front of Nathalie. She then snatched them out of the teacher's hand and got up rolling her eyes. While she was passing them out, I asked Ms. Jennings if I could go to the restroom. "Yes, you may." she chirped not looking up from her computer. I grabbed a bathroom pass and walked out. There was a bathroom across the hall so I went into that one. In there, I saw the same tall girl from the bus ramp. She laughed. I pretended like I didn't see her and ran out. She followed me and I was absolutely petrified. My ring almost came off. I was looking for another nearby girl's bathroom, but the only other one was the one upstairs. I looked left, then right, and found the stairs. I dashed straight up them and the girl was keeping up. I went left, but it wasn't down that hall. So I turned around, went right, and finally found it. I went into the bathroom, closing the door behind me. Then, I went into one of the handicap stalls and locked the door. I stood in the corner just hoping she wouldn't find me. She came in. Breathing deeply, I drop my ring.
"Ting."
I was done. "I know you're in here!" she sounded disgusted.  I didn't move an inch.
"RINGGG!!"  The bell had rung and she still hadn't left.  I heard the door, the close.  I assumed she left so I slowly unlocked the door.  I didn't see or hear anyone.  I took a quick look around then headed for the door.  But there was a hand.  The girl was standing there, waiting with her hand pressed against the bathroom door.  She laughs.  "Thought you were going somewhere?" she asked.  I didn't say a word, hoping she would just let me go.  She steps toward me saying "Why are you even here? Just go die or something. No one would notice, trust me."  My eyes start to tear up, but I wipe them so she doesn't see me about to cry.  She slaps me.  I didn't know what to because I was too scared.  Then, Ms. Jennings comes in to see if I was okay.  The girl pretends to wash her hands, not paying any attention to me.  I knew Ms. Jennings could see the fear in my eyes.  She says "What on earth is going on here?"  I stare at her as if I didn't hear her question.  "Emma, come with me." my teacher says.  I go with her and we walk to her classroom.
"What was going on in there?" she asks looking concerned.
"Nothing, I was just.." I hesitated. "..using the bathroom." I finished.  It looked like she knew I was lying, but she said okay.  "Well, I've emailed your mother and she said they could meet me tomorrow afternoon, and you can come!" Ms. Jennings says.  I nodded.  "Now go, before you miss your bus!" she commented.  I walk swiftly, trying to find my bus and avoid others.  Today, no one bothered me and I quickly found my bus.  I got off, like always, and opened the door.
