One of the soldiers raised up his sword intending to behead, like a flash a dagger flew past me and sank deep in his forehead. I turned my head to see where it came from when I saw Douglas charging towards us with a butcher's knife. The soldiers all stood at alert with their weapons drawn. Gwen and Eric soon showed up behind Douglas, they weren't armed. I did a spear dive and knocked down one of the soldiers, I pounced on him and punched hell outta him. My friends also where busy fighting
"here" Gwen called throwing a sword in my direction. To cut the story short, we killed them all except one that escaped on horse back.
"you saved me" fthe old woman said happily
"you're the chosen one. I'm so grateful, we have hope at last." I told her not to tell anyone what just happened and she went her way.
"That was a mistake" Eric said while we search the soldiers for arms.
"what?" I asked
"the soldier that escaped" he replied "we shouldn't have let him go".
"we need to go now" Douglas announced. we armed ourselves with d soldiers weapons and I got a shirt from one of the scattered goods on the floor and escaped towards river Ela🏞.

King Shag and his Generals were having a meeting when a soldier barged in. The king was angry but shocked to see the soldier's battered body. His face looked pale like someone who saw a ghost.
"what's this nonsense?" the king asked the soldier who was trying to catch his breath.
"my lord" he started "we were raiding and recruiting new soldiers" he paused for breath
"then what happened?" one of the Generals roared
"we saw them" he continued
"you saw who" the impatient General asked again, he's obviously angry with the soldier
"we saw them sir " he repeated. One of the Generals drew his sword in annoyance but was stopped by the king
"let him speak" King Shag told the General
"now speak up or I will have your head on a stake" king Shag threatened
"we saw the chosen one sire, we saw them." he finally said
"you must be out of your mind" the General who drew his sword earlier said
"leave him, he's insane" another added
"Nothing is wrong with me sir, I'm sane"he replied. The king was very angry he could not believe they're still alive.
"so the prophecy is true" he thought to himself
"where's your leader? "another general asked
"he's in the garrison sir" he replied
"who because they were not able to kill Eragon and because he didn't report to him before going to the kings castle. King Shag immediately ordered his Generals to look for Eragon and his cohorts.
That night there was a heavy downpour accompanied with lightning and thunderstorm. King Shag could not sleep, he knew the heavy downpour and the thunderstorm are significant. He sent for Garvick his sorcerer immediately. While the messenger went to fetch the sorcerer, reports came that the thunderstorms are killing the soldiers. Fifty soldiers have been confirmed dead while a lot are injured
"we're losing soldiers sire" a captain came in and reported bitterly.
"I've just lost twelve soldier, and more bodies have been found. Let's call back our men from the search, they can continue after the storm" he advised
"no, no one is resting until we find those kids"
King Shag is ready to sacrifice as many soldiers as he can. Nothing can stop him from achieving this. Minutes later, the messenger came back with Garvick.
Garvick bowed and asked the king the reason why he sent for him
"the thunderstorm and the downpour is becoming too much. It have destroyed aot of things, and to make things worse, it is killing my soldiers. Tell me what's going on
"My Lord" Garvick started "I'm afraid it's happening."
"what's that?" King Shag asked
"the prophecy my Lord, it's happening"
King Shag was speechless, this is not gonna happen he thought
"what do we do now?" he asked
"the only solution is to hunt them down and kill them" Garvick replied
"My soldiers are on high alert and are combing everywhere for them"
"It's better to find them soon or else, they're the end of your reign" Garvick finally said and left.
