You sort of internally panicked. What?? Was he talking about your ex boss? No way. There's gotta be like hundreds of thousands of people named Kendra out there.
"But less about me.." he put his hand on your thigh. "And more about you."
You were sent out of the shocking news you just received and looked at him.
You couldn't even find words about how you felt right now. You just stared at him for what felt like forever.
You leaned in to kiss him and he leaned in as well when you heard a familiar voice say
"Y/N??"
You turned to look at whoever said your name and it was.. of course.. Kendra.
"Oh. Kendra, didn't expect to see you here. I'd think you'd be passed out drunk in your own home after today's loss of profits" you said passive aggressively and in a way to tell her to fuck off.
"Hmm. Nope! Came out to party tonight, and I see you turned into a sex worker right after I fired your useless ass. God, I always hated you." She said, knowing you wouldn't be able to do anything.
You turned to see Liams reaction, and hadn't even noticed he had his whole arm around your body. Your body seemed so small next to his due to his height.
"Oh my goodness! Liam? Is that you baby?" Kendra said.
"Kendra. You need to leave me and my girlfriend alone." He said.
This definitely hit a spark in her.
"She's..SHES your girlfriend? Oh Liam. You can do so much better than this little whore. You can come back to ME!" She seemed to say whole heartedly believing that he had any interest in her.
"Kendra. Leave us alone before I call the police." He said.
His grip tightened around your waist and he was clearly irritated.
"Fine. But you know where to find me." She winked at him before leaving.
"I'm sorry about that. I didn't know she was your boss either. Well.. ex boss."
"No you're fine. I'm sorry about her though. She seems like a handful." You said truthfully.
"I'm also sorry for calling you my girlfriend. I hope that didn't make you uncomfortable." He said.
You actually really enjoyed when he called you his girlfriend. Actually, everything he did tonight was totally different than in middle school.
"I didn't mind at all" you said with a smile across your lips forming you didn't even realize.
"How about we go to your place?" Liam said.

The car ride to my place was nice. Not quiet at all, you two talked the whole ride about the past and what happened up to now in your lives, and how you crossed paths earlier.
You looked at your phone to see 36 missed messages from Kendra. You didn't even bother to open them and just closed your phone, not before checking the time though.

You didn't even feel tired. It was like you were on an adrenaline rush.
Once you got to your apartment, and both walked in. You couldn't get your hands off each other.
