THEA CREPT BEHIND CARLOS AS HE HELD HER HAND, the two squatting behind a bush.
The group figured out a plan, and they were currently preparing to ambush Audrey. The made it to the cottage she stayed in as she caused mischief. Ironically, Audrey would always bring Ben and Jane here.
The group saw no sign of Audrey, making the coast clear as they all ran to the door, finally breaking in.
The door shot wide open, and the group thoroughly split up to check the house. Minutes later, they all came back to prove no sight of the evil princess.
The sound whimpers filled their ears, causing everyone to look at each other in confusion. The whimpers soon collided with bangs on a closet door, to which Ben went to open. Chad was revealed on the floor, whimpering as he rocked back and forth, repeating 'I want my mommy' over and over again.
"Chad?" Avery spoke, questioning why her ex-boyfriend was here.
"Buddy, what happened?" Ben asked, dipping down to sit at Chad's level.
Chad looked up to see the group, his eyes widening suddenly. " The door is open. I'm free. Freedom!" Chad plant a sudden kiss on Ben's cheek, running past Mal and Uma as he ran for the door, shouting.
"Well. That was something." Sakai spoke.
"Who's the crybaby?" Charlie asked, arms crossed.
"Chad Charming." Avery answered.
"As in Cinderella's stupid ass son?" Charlie questioned, soon seeing Avery nod.
"Honestly what did you see in that doofus?" Alaska asked her sister.
"It was a phase, alright, I wasn't myself." Avery defended.
The group walked out of the cottage, tired.
"Ooh. All right. Let's get this Audrey chick taken care of already." Uma spoke, making Thea chuckle. "What do you say, girls? Time to wrap things up?"
Hayden and Thea fist bumped as Hayden spoke. "Yeah, this chick already has me on edge."
"You know, someday, you're gonna have to tell me how you guys all got teamed up." Ben asked, chuckling at their behavior.
"Actually, Mal promised to let all the kids off the Isle once this is over." Evie spoke, a smile on her face.
"I'm super happy! We'll all get to be free!" Charlie shouted, making Harry chuckle as he pulled her into a side hug.
"Yeah, Beast promised me they would sort it out." Thea stated, making Hayden smile to her.
Mal let and exhausted sigh come from her lips as she walked ahead everyone to face them. "I have to tell you guys something."
The group stopped their chatter to turn to the soon-to-be queen.
"I lied to you." Mal stated. Once she still saw everyone's confused faces, she went further into depth of explanation. "The kids won't be coming off the Isle."
"What do you mean?" Carlos asked from beside Thea.
"The program is shut down. And the barrier... will be closed for good." Mal spoke, tears forming in her eyes.
Thea froze. Ben, Mal, and Adam had lied to her. The barrier, the program, all a lie. Thea could see the look of betrayal Hayden was throwing her way, and the villain kid seemed to have tears falling down her paled freckled cheek.
"Hold up." Uma got closer to Mal. " So we're saving your precious people and your behinds for a lie." Mal let tears come to her eyes as she continued to listen. "I knew it was a mistake to trust you. You're always out for yourself."
Hayden turned to Thea. "And to think we were becoming friends, you already turn your back on me, and lie?"
Thea quickly faced her new friend, tears dripping down her own cheeks. "Hayden, I swear to you, I didn't know. And even if I did, I would have fought against it."
"Sure you would." Hayden didn't believe her for a second. "I can't believe my own sister, why should I believe you?"
Hayden walked up to the birdbath, seeing the ember that Celia threw in before she ran away while the two were talking. She quickly re-ignited it, sending a wave of flames to her hair. She turned to Thea, her eyes a neon blue. "Let's finish what my dad started, yeah?"
"Hayden, no!"
Hayden ignored the pleas of Mal, before blasting the ember's power at Thea, sending her backwards to the floor, unconscious.
Hayden tossed the ember back in the birdbath, burning it out yet again as a everyone stood in shock, including Uma. But the group ran to leave short after.
"Thea! Bunny, wake up!" Was the last thing she heard before put in a slumber, hearing a 'whoosh!' of smoke before preferably loosing consciousness.
