"Another sunny and hot summer day. And here I am working my butt off..."
That sentence caught Luca by surprise.
He was walking down the main Street, because it was marketday, which means all the farmers and businesses were opened and ready to sell all their stuff.
Luca stopped walking and looked back to the person who just said that.
He looked left, but he only saw the old lady selling her fish, and looking right he only saw the potter selling his pots which Luca wasn't interested in in the first place.

*Maybe I just imagined things. Let's get back to work. Dad said I have to buy some vegetables at the market on the end of the road. Let's see...*
Like that Luca continued walking straight forward without looking back even once.

Before he knew it he heard that same voice again. Before paying the stuff he was about to buy he quickly looked back, and there he saw it.
It was a tall, black haired young man with tanned skin and beautiful green eyes. Luca didn't even notice how he stopped breathing and stared holes into that man's body.

"Young man, are you gonna buy that stuff or not? There are other people waiting you know?" The old lady at the stand said.
"Oh, I'm sorry ma'am, I guess I got distracted for a moment. Please forgive me. Let me buy this real quick." He smiled and gave the women the cash she asked for.

*Who was that person just now? I'm sure I haven't seen him around town before.*
Luca went to rest at the fountain nearby. He sat down and started counting his money.
*Wow, only 2.30$ left...I guess I will skip today's lunch...*
He sighed.
*I know dad wouldn't like it if I told him that I'm skipping out on meals, but I have to do something to help out with the money too. He won't have to know.*

Luca decided to stop thinking these negative thoughts, so he tried looking up to the sky. Before he could do that, something else caught his attention. It was the tall black haired man from before.
Now he had all the time to look at him up close.
He noticed how that man was surrounded by another 2 men, as if they were protecting him, maybe he was important? They were all dressed in dark clothing, and they had a really serious face too.

The young man they were following didn't seem to be that serious. He seemed more.... annoyed.
"I can't believe father asked me to do this. It's to warm to even go outside at this time of the day. But even so he wanted me to do this job. Why does it even have to be me?" He heard him saying.
*Looks like he's complaining about something. It doesn't look like he's doing a lot of work tho. Maybe he should be a bit more gratefull that he has so much money. Well, it's getting late, dad must be waiting for me. I should be going now.*

He stood up, got all his things, and left that place. He walked all across town to get to the other side, where him and his father lived.
As soon as he arrived he knocked on the door.
"Hello? Are you home yet?" He shouted. No response. "I guess he's still out with the sheep."
He put down his groceries on the porch, and walked back into the garden to start working.
He had to cut the lawn, get the apples from the tree, and feed the horses.

He started by cutting the lawn, because that was his least favourite thing to do. He still did it with no hesitation tho, because his dad was to old for that in particular.

He wiped of the sweat from his forehead as he finished. "Puh, that was really hard. But now I'm finished with that and can get the apples. Let's do the horses the last."

He put back the sense into the garage, and got himself a basket where he would put all the apples that were okay to eat. He got himself a ladder to climb up the tree.

"Wow, this is beautifull." He said while looking into the horizon as the sun was slowly going down.
"I wish mom were here to experience this with me." Tears were slowly filling his eyes. "Okay, okay, now don't cry. Get yourself together Luca. We still have to get those apples." After that short incident he started getting the apples one by one, looking at them from every side and then putting them into the basket.

"Hey, do you live here all by yourself?"
A familiar voice appeared about of nowhere. "Aaagh!" He screamed. He got scared and let go of the tree where he was holding on to. *Oh no! I'm going to fall!* Just like in slow motion he saw his live flashing bevore his eyes as he tried to grab the tree.

Suddenly he felt something soft touch his skin. *What? Did I not hit the ground?* Slowly Luca opened his eyes again, just to see that he was in that person's arms.
"W-why did you catch me?"
He asked with blush on his face.
He was looking right into those green eyes he saw earlier too.
"What do you mean? You were about to fall"
He responded and sighed.
He let Luca down.
Luca put his hands bevore him and bowed down to say thank you.

"Thank you for catching me, sir. How may I repay your kindness? May I ask why you came here?"
"Oh, you can drop the formalities. I came here because I saw you staring at me earlier. You did, didn't you?"
Luca blushed as he said that.
That man was looking at him with such danger in his eyes. It was truly a scary glare.
"Uhm- I'm very sorry sir...I just, happened to see you there and was wondering who you were because I didn't see you here before...hopefully you can forgive me." He bowed down again.

"So you admit to staring at me?"
"Yes! I'm very sorry, sir!"
