Chapter 6

Luca opened his eyes. *Huh? What's that?* He asked himself.
Then he realised that he was resting his head on Callen's shoulder and he jumped up. "Omg I'm so so so so sorry! Please forgive me!" He bowed twice.
Challan that woke up too only told him that it was fine and he didn't have to apologize.
"Don't worry! I get it, haha, you were only tired."
"Haha...yeah...thanks..."
Luca said with a bit of blush on his face.

"How long have we been here?"
He asked Callen. Sleeping like that...it felt like hours had passed.
"For not that long. But I have to go now. I don't want to get yelled at again."
Callen got up and brushed off the grass that was on his clothes. He went up to his horse and got ready to go.
"Today was really nice!"
Luca shouted.
Callen looked back and smiled.
"I thought so too. See you soon, Luca."
"Have a nice day!"
Luca waved at him as he rode away into the horizon.

"The sun went down a lot. Dad must be home already. Well, I have to get going too."
And with that being said he got together all his sheep, also the ones that wandered off a bit, got the cat, and went home.

Some days passed, and Luca and Callen didn't see eachother for the next couple days. Luca kept doing his work, and Callen was doing all the things his dad told him to do.
They were both quite busy with their lives.

"Luca, are you ready? We have to go."
"Yes, I'm coming dad!"
He ran out the door all across the marketplace to catch up to his father.
Today was the day. The day they would go to that meeting with the XXX(Offizier). It was very important to his father, that's why Luca cared so much. He had to give it his all so that they had the best chance fo get the offer. If that happened, maybe they would be able to Luca a better life.

Maybe they could finally pay for a good doctor to see his father's back?
Or Luca could get some rest here and then too. Maybe they could even afford better food and supplies overall!
That really would be great.

"Remember what I told you Luca? Don't interrupt me or the XXX(Offizier), don't wander off, and most importantly-"
"...Don't look up. Got it."
"Good. I sure hope this goes well."
"It will, dad. I'm sure it will."
He said with a smile on his face as they were walking up the mountain to the XXX mansion.

Not long after that, they finally arrived. There was this giant mansion in the back- it looked like a castle. In front of it was a beautiful garden just as big as the mansion. You could see flowers of all kinds, water fountains here and there. Behind the Mansion would be the XXX(Hof) where the meeting would take place.

A butler guided them to the XXX(hof), and when they arrived, a big, well dressed man was already waiting for them. He was wearing XXX(Offiziers Kleidung) with a lot of XXX(medalien).
He looked scary.
*Remember, don't look him in the eye.*
Luca said to himself and looked to the ground.

"Thanks for having us, Sir XXX(abdellahs Nachname). It's an honour to be here."
Mr.Miraglia bowed Infront of the man and so did Luca.
"The pleasure is mine. And who might that be?" He looked over to Luca.
"Oh! My name is Luca, sir! Thank you for inviting us!" He bowed down again.
"It's alright. Let's begin."
He walked to the goods they brought with them to show off to the sir and he started to look at them.

He had a servant to test them for their quality.
"Seems alright to me." The servant said.
Luca handed some apples over to his dad, who then showed them off to the Sir. Mr. Miraglia said a few words and then waited for their response.
"I must say, your vegetables really have a great quality Mr.Miraglia.
The fact that you take care very well of your animals and food is undeniable."
"Luca, I think I forgot something at the bottom of the mountain. Would you mind running down and get it for me? It's the wool. Please Luca, it's really important now." His dad looked really desperate.
"Of course I'll go. I'll be back soon, don't worry." He answered quickly, as if the answer was there before he even asked.
Right as he said that, he got up and started running towards where they came from.

After some time wandering around he stopped running.
*Oh no, I got lost. Why do they have such a high garden? Couldn't they make a few signs on where to find the exit? What do I do...?*
He thought while panting heavily.
"Luca? Is that you?"
He turned around, and to his surprise, Callen was standing right behind him.
"What are you doing here?" Callen asked.
"I'm here with my father, we got an offer from the XXX (offizier) to provide food to the army. But he forgot something and sent me to go look for it. I guess I got lost haha."
"Oh, don't worry about that, I can show you the way out." Callen started walking to the garden and Luca followed him, walking behind him as he had learned it from his father.

"How is it that you know this place so well, Callen?"
"Oh, you didn't know? The XXX (Offizier) is my dad."
That caught him by surprise.
"Wait- that means, you're royalty? And you tell me now? After i acted so casual around you?"
"Haha! Don't worry. Actually I prefer it that way."
"But I'll get in trouble!"
"No you won't, calm down. I was really happy that I could find a friend like you, you know?"
"Oh, yes. I too enjoy it."
Callen opened the gate for him.
"Oh no, let me do it!!"
Luca said running towards him and grabbing the gate.
Callen pushed him aside.
"No. Let me open the door for you."
He said with a serious look.
*Not again...every time he looks serious like that, his eyes start flaming in their greenish color. He just looks too handsome!*
Luca shook his head.
"Fine. Thank you very much Callen."
Luca stepped back a few steps and then he saw the big, beautifully decorated doors of the front gate open I front of him.

*Wow...who would think this would feel so different?*
Lucas eyes started sparkling.
It felt amazing.
Slowly Luca started walking towards the gate.
He looked at every detail the gate had on it. The little golden details carved into its steel design, the spikes at the top...everything was so beautiful.

He looked over to where callen was standing.
He was making this 'come on, go through the gate' hand movement.
Luca nodded, and then left the XXX (abd.nachname grundstück)
