*Christina's POV*

I screamed in pain in the middle of the woods as I felt my bones rearrange into the form of a wolf. 'Shhh calm down Christina it will be over soon!' I heard my inner wolf say.

"It hurts make it STOP!" I yelled the last word jolting in another shock of pain. It was raining and lightning was going off. 'It will in a second! Im Elijah by the way.' She said. The pain was all gone. I walked over to a pond and saw my reflection. I was a pure white wolf with lightning blue eyes.

'Hey! You look badass!' I heard Star say in my pack link.

'Thanks!' I said. I walked back to the tents to show everyone, By everyone I mean the girls because the guys went to get pizza.

"Oh my god you look amazing! Your eyes! Their so beautiful!" Mercy yelled.

"Thanks!" I said as I turned back into my human self.

I decided to go on a run in my wolf form. I love the feeling! The wind rushing through my fur, being able to go fast without anyone stopping you, just being free. I stopped at the edge of a cliff to watch the sunset. The rest of the gang joined me except for Max... I don't know where he is.

"Uh Christina... your dad is hear to see you." Angelique said. I sighed and got up. I saw him standing in a distance and I walked over to him.

"Happy birthday squirt. Can I see your wolf?" He asked. I turned into my wolf and he also did the same. I was shocked to see that he looked like me but with duller eyes and more grey in his white fur. We both turned back.

"Christina, there is something I have to tell you." He said.

"What?" I asked getting nervous.

"Well generation after generation a great power has been passed throughout my side of the family, to controll the weather, at first you will cause many lightning storms but later you will be able to controll the wether. I should have told you this earlier but I didn't know how." He said looking down.

"Yeah right." I laughed.

"I'm serious! That is why there was a lightning storm while you were changing! Your wolf didn't mention it because she didn't even know! Watch." He said as he put out his hand and light blue sparks of lightning went up his arm. I just stood there in shock. "Now I must go before Kaitlynn finds out im here." And with that he took off. Classic dad.

"Hey. Sorry I wasn't here earlier. I couldn't find where I put your gift! I lose everything." Max said looking down in guilt.

"It's okay... wanna see my wolf?" I asked.

"Sure." He said and with that I changed into my wolf.

"Holy cra- thats amazing." He said.

"Why do people keep saying that?" I asked.

"Probably because when you change there is electric blue sparks of lightning around you!" He said excitedly.

"Really? Awesome!" I yelled. He handed me a box and I opened it.

"Happy birthday Christina." He said with a smile. Inside was a silver wolf necklace with sapphire gems as eyes.

"Awe thank you!" I squeeled as I hugged him.

"No problem." He said as he made me turn around and put the necklace on. We walked back to the tents and ate pizza...well more like threw it at each other.

Everyone was asleep but I couldn't fall asleep so I decided to go into the city and get something to drink...like starbucks.

I walked into Starbucks and a strong scent like maple and cinnamon filled my nose. My mate. I walked up to the counter to order and tried to ignore the smell.

"Christina?" The guy at the counter said.

"Oh hey Marcus." I said realizing who he was. Marcus used to be good friends with Max but something happened.

"What are you doing here this late?" He asked.

"Oh well my birthday and I can't really sleep." I said.

"Oh happy birthday! Drink is on the house. What can I get you?" He asked.

"Oh thanks! Ummm whatever is best." I replied with a smile. I got my drink and was about to leave when he stopped me.

"Hey...ummm so I was wondering if wanted to go out on a date or something?" He asked. Thats when I realized he didn't notice i was his mate...or did he. My wolf kept whining but I was to exausted to listen.

"Sure...I am your mate after all." I said with a smile as his eyes widened and I walked out. Thats when I realized when we didn't even say where or when... oh well I'll find him later.

*Next Week*

Me and Marcus have been going on dates for the past week. Mercy and Star have been getting along better ever since the bite, and Jake found out that his mate is Angelique. Max has been distance lately, no one can figure out why. I think it is because we all have mates but him... I wonder who she is?

My power has been getting stronger, I can controll it now. Almost.

"Hey Christina... I need your help with Max. I need his help with planning Star's birthday but he is to distant!" She whined, interrupting my thoughts.

"I'll try but I don't know why your asking me." I replied.

"Everyone else tried already!" She whined again. I slipped on my converse and walked to Mercy's house with her.

"Hey Max-" i was interrupted.

"Not you to."he whined.

"Fine I'll go." I started to walk away.

"Wait, I didn't mean it like that. Im sorry, I'm just not feeling myself without my mate." He said quickly.

"Wait you found your mate?! What happened! Who is she?" I asked.

"Yea we rejected each other...it was Celia."he said frowning.

"Oh. I'm so sorry." I said pulling him into a hug. It's really hard to live without a mate.

*Max's POV*

Yes I have no mate but thats not the only reason I am upset. My best friend is going out with my now worst enemy.
