Ch 1. Our little change

(David's POV)
Gwen was being very stubborn to wake up since we had work today, as always I had to drag her out by force til she finally gave in and got ready. I got a text from Mr. Campbell telling us we had some new targets to kill tonight as and we needed to head over to HQ to get the information.

"Come on Gwen. Mr. Campbell has given us a new target to kill tonight since this one is a threat to our organization." I said.

"David I love you and all, but... FOR FUCKS SAKES I don't wanna kill tonight! I just wanna relax for once in our life." Gwen covered her head with a pillow.

Gwen did have a point, ever since last month when one of our bases was infiltrated by our rivals, we've been working 2x as much as we we're already doing. But it was wroth it to earn the money since we would need it once we retired of working with Mr. Campbell. The one thing I want to do with some of the money is to finally ask her to be my permanent partner in crime til a mission do us part.

"Do we know who we're killing this time? Please don't let it be another meth warehouse like last time. We almost lost a lot of money from killing the cartels men's son instead of the actual cartels men." Gwen sipped a cup of coffee to wake her up more.

"No no, Mr. Campbell said we had to deal with a triple threat on the other side of town aside from that.. that's all I know." I said as I packed our guns, knifes, and aid kit.

"How much are they paying for us to kill the bitch or bastard, and it better not be-" I cut off Gwen as I spoke.

"84 grand, 86 if we manage to make it look like they off'd themselves for unknown reasons. But knowing the noisy people that live in that area we might need to use the knifes this time." I said.

I just love how no mission is hard for our skills and common sense especially when it comes to the cost of the money and working with the best female assassin in this organization. I mean, that is how we met after all.

(Gwen's POV)
As we got into the car over to HQ for more money that will be worth to have. I realized that thanks to David's missions we wouldn't of met in the first place.. by that I mean, he was assigned to kill my boyfriend for drug trafficking that same day he cheated on me so he really deserved it.

"What are you thinking about Gwen? You've been spacing out since we left the house." David said as he grabbed my hand and placed it on the stick shift of the car.

"I- Um.. just questioning how is the target is a triple threat that their paying 86 grand for them to be dead." I said as looked at the beautiful river.

David smiled "Oh, well your lucky that we're almost to HQ so you can stop thinking about that question as well as remembering how I killed your cheating boyfriend."

I looked at him in shook "Fuck, you really good at reading my mind! That should be your hidden talent Dave."

Once we arrived to HQ we head over to Mr. Campbell's office which took over a whole floor. We got our badges scanned as we entered his office.

"Hello Mr. Campbell do you have the file of the targets? We'd like to see who we're up against on this mission." I said as I sat down.

He slid the file across the table "They're a married couple, no kids, and are know to be a triple threat."

"But that's been the biggest question here, how in the fuck are they a triple threat?" David said as he grabbed a cup of coffee from the machine."

"Triple threat meaning they're Loan sharks, drug traffickers, and there has been a rumor that when they infiltrated our base they could possibly have information on our agents meaning they're civilian life's could be leaked out to our rivals and be in serious danger." Mr. Campbell said.
