Ian's POV:

Prom is literally tomorrow and I have no one to go with, I don't even know of any gay dudes that go here besides Mickey so that's the only downside. I could go with my best friend Mandy but, she's going with my older brother. I'm not mad at that or anything but I could really use some help right now. But those two are practically conjoined twins, always wrapped up with each other, and that makes me happy because I love seeing my best friend and my big brother happy with each other. Maybe I won't even go to the dance, I'll probably just hang out with Mickey, he probably wouldn't want to go either so that's a plus... but on the other hand, he is a gay guy and I actually do like him a lot but even at that, he probably wouldn't be into some lame high school dance.

The school day goes by. Mickey and Ian share the same class schedules but in this class they sit next to each other. They both walk into the class side by side and take their seats in the back of the room. The teacher begins teaching and Ian looks over at Mickey and begins to speak. " Hey Mick." Ian says which grabs Mickey's attention so he looks over. " Hey Red, what's up?". "Well, you know prom is tomorrow but I don't have a date because you're literally the only gay guy I know here and you probably wouldn't want to even go so I was-" He's cut off my Mickey's shocked facial expression. "Hey! What makes you think I don't wanna go?" Mickey says with a chuckle. "W-Well, I wouldn't expect to see you get all dressed up for a school dance, I wouldn't even expect you to come, I would expect you to just wanna hang out in the dugout though." Ian says while also laughing. "Well, do you want to go with me or not Red?" Mickey says as his cheeks light up do a vibrant and obvious red color. "Oh shit, of course." Ian says as he begins to blush and get nervous. "It's a date then." Mickey says with a smile. All Ian can do is nod with anticipation and smile at himself, glancing over at Mickey a few times. "We're gonna have so much fun." Ian whispers to himself.
