Chapter 9 ~ Is this Hello or Goodbye?

I finally updated sorry it's taken me so long I haven't really been in the right mindset and also sorry that it's so short, I hope you enjoy and hopefully the next chapter won't take too long to come out :)

----- 6 months after the accident -----

KILLIAN's POV:

It has been so long since I have heard her, months that we'll never get back.

I still speak to the doctors weekly to see how she is doing, and if anything is different. Things have been different, she is slowly making progress - well at least that is what the doctors are telling me.

They told me that there is a good chance that she could wake up, because her condition has improved. However, they don't know what state she might be in when she does wake up.

I sat down in my chair next to her, well it's not actually MY chair but no one else uses it apart from me because I'm always here. I held her hand and started talking to her about anything and everything.

One day I was talking to her and I felt her hand twitch in mine. I thought I was imagining things until she followed by squeezing my hand really lightly, or at least she tried to squeeze my hand.

"Y/n?" I looked up at her face to see if there was any type of response

She slowly opened her eyes, only to shut them again almost immediately.

"Y/N! Do you need anything?"

"L-light-s" her voice rough from not talking. That must be why she closed her eyes again, I would've laughed at the situation but this wasn't the time to do it, I haven't heard her voice in forever.

I reluctantly moved away from the bed and towards the light switch to dim the lights for her.

She opened her eyes again before I wrapped my arms around her pulling her into a huge hug.

She hugged me back briefly before she spoke.

"Ki-lli-an..."

I pulled back a bit to see her face as I spoke,

"Yes? what is it love?" I asked panicked

"I don't feel so good" a tear rolled down her cheek before she collapsed and her heart monitor changed from it's normal rhythm.

Nurses hurriedly made their way into the room and one of them gently but quickly took me out of the room, it was then when I realised I couldn't hear anything. The nurse was speaking to me but I couldn't hear. I needed to calm down I need to be there for Y/n.

I calmed down quickly after that and the nurse briefly explained what is happening

"The doctors are in with her now, we dont now what has caused this but she has gone into cardiac arrest, we will try everything in our power to help her"

I nodded and felt the tears run down my face. the nurse looked at me with sad eyes before rushing off

I collapsed in a seat outside Y/n's room and put my head in my hands.

'Was this hello or goodbye?'
