Tokido and Mirko had just come back from shopping. There were people on the street who waved an occasionally asked for a picture. A couple of news reporters asked if Mirko had adopted Tokido, but they just said that they were friends. Which is true.

They got back home and had just put all of Tokido's new clothes into the washing machine.

Mirko was trying to help Tokido activate her quirk. Instead of trying on a real person, they were trying to control a little origami swan first, so no 'accidents' would happen.

But Tokido was having trouble. She didn't know how to activate her quirk. It only happened when she was angry. So, she tried thinking of the 'bad man.'

That worked. Rumi said she thought that it worked because she wasn't thinking about using her quirk. She told the little girl that they were going to work on activating it when she was thinking about it, but later. For now, she just told Tokido to focus on maintaining her control, and making the little paper swan fly.

The strings were again purple, and it seemed that Tokido could keep her control. Rumi assumed that was because it was paper, and did not have mental stability at all, which Tokido agreed to.

"Try to make it fly. I want you to get used to moving the strings how you want them until you do it naturally. Until you can activate your quirk regularly, I'll get you a little string puppet to practice on. While you do that, we'll focus on your cardio, strength, and activating your quirk without using your emotions. Sound good?" Rumi said.

"Yup." the little girl replied, already moving the swan like it was flying, making the paper swan flutter up. "This is pretty easy. Can we move on to action figures or something?"

Rumi smiled, happy with her progress already. "Sure. I think I have something around here."

And so, they went on training and training and training. Tokido got the hang of moving her strings by the time she was nine, and moved on to real people. Rumi would let Tokido take control of her for practice, and her quirk would gradually start getting stronger.

When she was eleven, Tokido's body started showing muscle tone, and she could now use her quirk whenever she wanted to.

It was still difficult controlling someone that had a strong mental state, though. When Tokido turned twelve, Rumi stopped letting her take control of her mind willingly, and it was hard for the girl.

Soon, on another May 31st, Tokido turned fourteen and took some classes on how the mind and body worked. She studied emotions, online, as well. She now always carries a notepad around with her to observe and take notes of things she finds interesting or helpful outside of her studies. She learned and figured out how to break into people's minds, but if their mental state was strong, she couldn't last very long. Or get in, for that matter. It was rare she was able to break through. Her cardio and muscle strength were amazing, however.

Tokido learned how to use a katana, getting her seven-year-old wish of a green Zenitsu version. And she could use it well. She trained with it in the backyard of Rumi's house almost every day, save for the weekends and Wednesdays.

Sometimes Kiego would come over and take Tokido on runs or just watch her and Mirko train. He also liked to tell her stories about other heroes or his own adventures. He was the one who told her about the hero rankings, and about the current number one and two heroes. All Might and Endeavor. She did a little research on both, and even found a video of All Might saving dozens of people.

Tokido found she wasn't the only one training to get into UA, though. Once she was on a run and saw a small, weak looking boy with green hair on a trashed beach trying to carry a tire somewhere. He was being watched by a frail man with big, messy, yellow hair and a white T-shirt with dark green jeans. Tokido smiled at this, unseen because of her mask, and continued on her way.
