#5. The Smile That Has been Faded

Momosuzu Nene had always loved this world, a world that was so bright and filled with amazing things.

Step slowly on the streets, walk with friends, and run cheerfully.

She always shows a smile to her friends. The energy and cheerfulness she has is never-ending.

Happy days like these are what make her so fond of life in this world.

But...

Her understanding of the world is changing. Little by little her smile disappeared, Nene had no energy left, her face was now filled with tiredness.

Her lips froze without showing her smile again. The eyes that were once blazing with enthusiasm were now extinguished and replaced by despair.

Nene was filled with hatred and resentment, towards the traitor and herself.

Nene realized that she was just an ordinary human who did not have any powers or abilities.

Behind the fighting Yukihana Lamy and Shishiro Botan, Nene could only look at them.

What does she have?

Nothing.

Even she had lost her identity.

She who used to give them positive energy, was now sinking In despair and darkness.

Omaru Polka's betrayal will not be forgotten by them.

Moreover, bringing Mano Aloe which should no longer exist in this world.

Lamy and Botan really hate Polka but not with Aloe, even though they know that the Aloe in front of them is fake, they still can't hurt her.

Botan used her favorite weapon, kept shooting non-stop, but not a single bullet hit them.

Everything was stopped by the barrier that Aloe made.

Lamy had also struggled with all her might with Daifuku, but she couldn't use her full strength.

Because there are Nene and Aloe she can only attack with small scale attacks. Making ice in the shape of a spear or in the shape of a knife, Lamy continues to attack Polka.

And of course, that wasn't enough to beat her.

During the fight Polka was always smiling, the smile she showed was hideous, like she was enjoying all of this.

With her magic ability Polka attacked Botan and Lamy, her hat flew everywhere. Sharp and fast, the hat kept hitting them both without stopping.

This narrow room does not benefit Botan and Lamy, moreover, Nene could be her target.

When Botan and Lamy are so wary of the hat, Aloe attacks them with her voice, these high-frequency sound waves can blow the opponent's body away.

Daifuku stepped forward, protecting them from Aloe's attack. However the attack was too strong, the heavily injured Daifuku returned to his spirit form.

As they were distracted by Aloe's attack, Polka threw small balls that flew pretty fast.

Botan has a great ability to shoot, even though it's small and fast Botan can definitely shoot it right on target.

The ball that came was easily shot by Botan.

But Botan and Lamy didn't realize that Polka was behind them.

Botan is a little late to notice, especially now that they can't move because of Aloe's ability.

Unfavorable conditions, Polka was behind and ready to attack, then Aloe used her ability to stop their movement.

Botan has run out of ideas to save herself or Lamy.

Surprisingly Polka didn't attack them, just gently touched Botan and Lamy's back.

And as soon as Polka touched them, quite large sharp spikes emerged from inside their bodies.

Botan didn't immediately fall, she used her beast skill and made her body exceed her limits.

Pulling out her claws and tearing her apart, Polka was hit by a direct hit that split her body into three pieces.

But suddenly Polka's body blackened and disappeared, when they realized it was Polka's shadow, Aloe launched her final attack.

Not so obvious and happening very quickly, Aloe's attack hitting Botan.

Botan was thrown quite far. Her body was unharmed, but her brain and some of her internal bodies were destroyed.

Lamy was silent watching her, shocked and could not bear the pain, Lamy lost control.

The surrounding temperature dropped drastically, in an instant the messy room froze in a beautiful blue color.

But Polka was quickly in front of her, still with that hideous smile Polka looked straight into Lamy's eyes.

Then showered her with small balls and punched holes in her body, the blue ice around her already stained with the red color of Lamy's blood.

Now... It's all over, Botan and Lamy can't fight anymore. Seeing that terrible fight Nene became even more desperate.

Unable to move or say anything, Nene was already devoured by fear.

Lamy suddenly moved.

"Botan...." Lamy tried to call Botan with her small voice.

Crawling slowly with a broken body condition, Lamy approached Botan.

Polka who saw it laughed in satisfaction, while the frightened Nene was trying to muster her determination.

Lamy smiled, after successfully approaching Botan, Lamy immediately hugged her gently.

Although the sound of terrible laughter was heard, the two of them remained calm while holding hands.

Their eyes darkened, their breaths getting weaker. Polka took out a small black ball and threw it.

But without realizing it Nene was beside her.

In order to protect them Nene will definitely move. Even without determination or courage, Nene will do her best to protect them.

Nene clenched her fists then hit Polka right in the face.

Such a weak blow, without the slightest strength. But Polka retreated quickly and returned to her position.

"OMARU POLKA!!!!" Nene shouted, letting go of any hatred towards her.

"Nene!!!! What's with that face of yours, it's really scary huh... But your face now is so pleasing to look at" Polka answered her with a horrible expression.

No smile, no passion or determination. Just filled with hatred and anger.

Nene walked slowly, her hands clenched very tightly, her eyes only on her.

The traitor.

Punched her one more time to wake polka up and then restore her happy life, just that all Nene wanted.

Nene... Was so fed up with all of this.

Polka once again smiled, still looking hideous but this time her smile seemed to show her sadness.

And suddenly Aloe opened her mouth and sang a song, Aloe's voice filled the silent room.

Hatred, anger, and various other negative things disappear. Nene let go of her hand slowly.

The song of "peace", a special ability of the divas that can remove all feelings and leave calm, then bring death to those who listen to it.

Nene looked at Polka, seeing her smile once again, Nene was sure that Polka's smile was filled with sad feelings.

Nene then fell, for the last time Nene saw the faces of Botan and Lamy.

Until the end Lamy did not let go of the hug and hold of her hand. This warm sight somehow felt so cold that it froze Nene's heart.

Closing her eyes and falling asleep, Nene was now heading into an eternal sweet dream.
