The train ride to the nearest Game Center was normal. The cars cramped to the brim. Catch the tip of your shoes in the door if you're not careful. It smelted really sweaty and musky as people chattered away. Yet, it was not a loud chatter, but enough to maybe annoy someone or give an ambiance background noise.
Bakugou managed to get lucky with a more empty car. Not very many people other than his friends-not that he'll admit it- and a small group of middle school children. Of course they were being the loudest on the train. Making a fuss about anything or talking about girls. As normal as it seemed for their age, train rides have always annoyed Bakugou. If he wanted to, he could have blasted his way there and met everyone once they'd arrive. Unfortunately, that would be considered illegal because of no villain activity with the useage of your quirk.
Sitting quietly with his school bag to his side. He had planned to catch up on some assignments while his friends went off and did whatever in the Game Center. Bakugou shifted in his seat. Inpatient and fizzled, he huffed out a sharp breath. Kids were still talking like barbarians. Making the annoyances within his head to sizzle harder than it should have. Kirishima; who was sat next to him, bumped his arm into Bakugou softly. Staring into the side of his head with a grin.
"You doing alright, man? You're more quiet than normal" Kirishima asked in a hushed voice. Reaching out to grasp onto his best friends hand. Who flinched away from the contact his fingers made before glaring back at the softer male.
"I'm fine." Was huffed out of the angry blond. Fumes clearly running low from the train. Kirishima nodded a bit before turning back to Sero, laughing in whatever joke Mina and Kaminari had put together. Bakugou stared at them for a moment. Going undetected by the extras. Turning away quickly after Mina had made eye contact.
The train rails came to a screeching stop at the next station. Sparks flew up to the window sometimes. All the middle school boys had gone quite. 'Must be their stop. Good.' He though.
The whispers started. Bakugous ears picked up on all the silent talk. One kid said it was their stop and that they should do it. ' Blah blah blah. It was something probably mischievous they were gonna pull.' That is the thought until two of the five boys stared directly at the blond. Bakugou froze up a little. Suddenly on guard towards these kids. Unsure of weather or not they were planning something awful for the people on the train.
Has the train came to a holt. The car rattled and eventually made no evidence of movement. People had started to walk off. Several also started to poor in. Yet there was one problem, the boys didn't leave yet. One of them looked to be worried, before breaking away from the group. Coming towards the known angry teen with a fast pace. Causing Bakugou to gather anxiety in the pits of his stomach, and loosened up as much as he could to prepare for a chance fight. The middle school boy greeted him with a bow. Confused, Bakugou rolled his eyes and opted to ignore him.
"Excuse me mister, my friends and I couldn't help but notice your the guy who won the sports festival." The boy spit out. It was a quick dialogue. As if he didn't wanna speak to Bakugou at all.
"My friend other there with the light brown hair. He sent me over here to say uhm..." he cut off. Bakugou glared up at the kid with his piecing red eyes. Visibly gulping down whatever he had in his throat. The kid continued to speak.
"He uh. He thinks you're a villain, and I do to. Well. At least are gonna be one. He thinks you work for the league. Since you were kidnapped by them. And I think you're a traitor." Then he trotted away. Not sticking around to figure out the reaction of who he was speaking to. In the window was the boys. They all patted and gave the kid hive fives. Then all walked away. Disappearing into the thick crowed of the station.
Bakugou's eyes were wide. Not even getting a chance to reply sucked. Yet, he didn't think he could. His mouth was not working and was suddenly dry, as well as his hands. The tense muscles in his arm were not getting released. 'A villain?' Is all he though. 'I am Villain?' That's what he had picked up on. The rest was a little muffled. What shocked him the most was no one seemed to notice his sudden shaken up body. Simple words couldn't have hurt that bad, could they? It appears they did. What happened to unclench his arms and allow his eyes to lower down and blink, was a single tear running down the right cheek. Quickly wiping it away, he grabbed onto the strap of the bag he held tightly. The feeling of wanting to cry overwhelmed his body. Shaking, and taking one deep breath. Bakugou was able to contain these emotions but the pure sadness didn't go away. Still feeling like the water works can come clanking together here soon.
Couple of stops later. Maybe three, they finically got of that stupid train. It was starting to feel claustrophobic to Kaminari. As he kept complaining about it. The stone ground marks and path have grown familiar. Mina leading the was as usual with her skips and strange "park-core" stunts. Sweetened by her laugh after she falls or misses what she was jumping for but landed on something else. Bakugou enjoyed his extras. They were good entertainment and usually he would giggle a little at everything they did, but he was dead silent. Sero looked at kirishima with some worry. The red head shrugged but hung back a bit to match pace with blast'mc'splode. He threw his arm around Bakugou's shoulder and pulled him a little closer.
"I know I already asked today. Are you okay?" Kiri asked softly. Concern filled in his facial expression. Bakugou hated when kiri lost his smile. It was like the sun loosing it's light. But unfortunately, his mouth wouldn't let him speak just quite yet. So he stayed silent but allowed for kirishima to hold him close to his body. Their footsteps had stopped. Bakugou hasn't even noticed till now everyone was staring at him. Making him feel like a meek mouse trapped in a trap set by these people. Mina placed her hands on her hips as she walked up to Bakugou. Staring him directly in the face and squinted.
"Okay blasty. What is wrong?" She asked suddenly. Startling Bakugou in the process. He suppressed a flinch but felt a squeeze on his shoulder. Sero was now standing next to Mina. Almost just as close. Kaminari still kept his distance but still looked so concerned. It was amazing how much they cared yet he didn't even have the balls to call them his friends. Looking down at the concrete under his feet. Bakugous jaw unclenched for the first time in a while. Taking a deep breath. Yet still staying silent.
"Dude, come on. You can tell us." Sero blurred out. Noticing the huffed hair and the tension leaving. Fortunately this was not an anger situation. This was a boy is super jumpy and sensitive and we don't know why situation. This could have been worse.
Bakugou spotted an ally way near them. He herded them there. Kirishima placed his arm back around his shoulder and leaned his head down a little. Almost as a comforting gesture. It worked a little bit if Bakugou had to be honest. Leaning back into kiri slightly. He took another deep breath.
"I-... this shouldn't have effected me this badly. Fuck. I...I heard this on the internet. A lot especially after the sports festival." Bakugou took another deep breath. Remembering these are actual people he could let loose around a little bit with his emotions. That still pissed him off in some degree to talk about feelings and shit this couldn't be held in. He had already started.
"This is so fucking stupid but. Some middle school kids on the train. They uh. They were staring and talking about me after we came to their stop. I only know because of one kid... FUCK!! This is so DUMB! Argh. This really is stupid but he said that he and his friends think I'm a Villain. Guess it's a little different to hear it in real life then to read it online." He finished. That's when he felt the tears start to rise. He sucked in a sharp breath quickly before staring back down at the ground.
"That's not true though, you ain't no villain!" Denki yelled, stepping forward quickly to the blond. Bakugou sucked in a deep breath and flinched a little. He cursed himself silently for that. Mina grabbed his arm and halted at him. Sero sighed. He was the one to speak next.
"I think your a hero, a hot head for sure. But a hero." Sero then smiled as Bakugou let out a shaky breath. Meaning he probably was calming down. Kirishima nuzzled the side of Bakugou's head before Mina spoke. She smiled and let go of Kaminari.
"Definitely DEFINITELY a hot head. The sports festival was wrong to even put you in those chains. It's like they didn't even think that you have morals. You obviously weren't gonna hurt Ice queen-" she rambled slightly. Noticing, she stopped and quickly apologized.
"Point is, you're a good guy, blasty." She finished. Bakugou wouldn't look them in the face. Yet he smiled slightly. Debating if he should thank them or not. As that could be hard for him to do since he doesn't do it very often. Only done it maybe once or twice towards the red head rapped around his shoulders.
"T-..thank you." He cursed himself inside his mode for stuttering. Mina, Sero, and Kaminari smiled softly. Giving nods and you're welcome with kind eyes. It was a weird treatment Bakugou got from them. He hated but also loved it. They started to walk out of the ally, and signaled to come with. Kirishima shook his head.
"We'll catch up." It was the final words heard before quiet okays and heavy feet sounds of the rest of the group walking away. Friends were a powerful thing. Blasting away bad feeling as if it was grim on a stove or washtub. Bakugou coloured in his mind that he was nothing but a pitty invite. That thought hadn't crossed his mind in a while but now he knows he's not. Can even fathom why not. It's like being friends with a wild animal. What to unpredictable for most things.
Kirishima cleared his throat. Pulling his arm back to the side of his body. Leaving a warm spot going cold all across Bakugou's shoulders. Wind picked up in the area. Weather today was supposed to be shit. Wet' n' cold, much to the displeasure of Bakugou. He hated the rain. Couldn't use his quirk in it. Yet, the male in front of him was wearing a red Crimson Riot tank top. Obviously not cold either despite the gust of wind that blew leaves off trees and through their hair. Bakugou shivered slightly.
"I heard him say it." Is what kirishima started with. He looked down for a second. Like he was ashamed of hearing the brat. Bakugou swallowed down a rock in his throat before humming. Signaling to continue whatever he was saying.
"I didn't wanna ask any questions because you normally don't get affected by words like that often. But this, that kid was harsh." Kirishima let out a breathy chuckle then sighed. Staring right at Bakugou's face now with curious eyes. Waiting patiently for any reaction from the other. The breeze flew through the ally. both stood silently while hearing the streets speak and the wind whistle by their ears. Kiri took a step forward, placing his hand on Bakugou's shoulder. Slid it up to his cheek. The blond froze, and his jaw locked up.
"I personally don't believe in that kid. People don't see it but you got a major soft side and you're very sensitive. May have thick skin but even that can be scraped off time to time." He spoke quietly. Rubbing his thumb across Bakugou's cheek. Drops of water started to his his skin. The concrete started to turn a different colour by then in different tiny specs. Kiri looked up at the sky and closed his eyes. Smiling slightly at the small wet drops that hit his face. Bakugou shivered slightly. Attempting to keep it under wraps. Letting out a shaky breath. He grabbed onto his school back strap and held it tightly.
"It's okay to let emotions out ya know." That's all it took to be said before a small choked out sob flew out of the blonds mouth. Kirishima's eyes widened in slight shock. His hair now starting to fall down due to the rain coming down in bunches. He swiped it out of the was so he can see Bakugou. Quietly but surely, he was crying. It was unusual to see to say the least. With his tough composure, Kiri was sure no one from U.A high would ever see this guy cry. Maybe Midoriya because they've know one another for a long time.
Kirishima quickly hugged his friend. Rubbing his back and now kiri was sure that it was not only rain making his tank top wet. Blasty clenched onto his back like it was the only thing keeping him alive. Choked out cries muffled by the larger male's chest. He heaved for a good decent breath. Not like catching one was an option at the moment. Bakugou did not enjoy this one bit but either it was cry here or cry sometime later alone in his dark caverns that would be called his dorm room. He definitely didn't want to do either but it seems his body and eyes had different plans. This was starting to get on his nerve.
Bakugou pushed his way out of kirishima's arms. He was breathing heavily and glared up at the man in front of him. He slumped on the nasty was in the ally. The wall have graffiti and grim but that was to be expected since they were downtown. Kirishima stood very confused at this action. 'Must be another defense for his emotions. To push people away. Not just like mentally, But physically when they see it too.' He had thought. Staring into the face to the puffy eyed blond. He sighed slightly. Bakugou looked down at the ground. Holding the strap tightly again as tears still fell out of his eyes. Holding back his heavy gasps for air.
"Bakugou-"
"NO! Shut up right now." Bakugou spat. Clenching his jaw again. He squeezed his eyes shut before hitting his hand on the hard wall behind him with a groan. Letting out a huffed breath.
"I'm weak. Crying in front of you. It's pathetic. That brat shouldn't have even caused this. I should have just ignored him like I planned. Now you see me as weak. DAMNIT!! I'm not. I can take you on! I can take anyone on! Not a damn kid can't even stop that! I'm not weak! Im not! I'm now weak." He choked out into another sob. Sliding his arms around himself before falling down to the wet ground below him. Tucked against the wall. Choking back some cries. Bakugou let out a quiet "damnit..." before placing his face into his arms on his knees. Kirishima stood in shock. Seeing his best friend like this. Saying it was weak to cry. Tears had formed in his own eyes from the poor boy. The middle school boy's words was just the cherry on top to an already over flowing dam of insecurity's and fears. It just got something that made it ready to break. Making water flood whatever town was in Bakugou's head.
Kirishima kneeled down. Wiping his own eyes. Sitting in front of the blond boy. He sighed and looked up back at the sky. The rain had stopped for a little bit. 'Cloud burst' he though to himself before looking back at the blond. Knowing it was still raining in his world right now. Reaching out his hand. He placed it on top of the boys head.
"I don't think you're weak. Showing your emotions is super manly" kirishima smiled brightly. Unsure of this helping but he hoped it did. Bakugou stared up at him. Sadness covering his cheeks. He squinted at kirishima. As if he was going to say something but didn't. It was all in the eyes. 'Don't kid me.' His nose sniffled a little bit. Kirishima scooted to be beside him. He was so close their shoulders touched and squeezed together with every breath. It was quiet for a long time. Nobody spoke and the streets have gone a little silent for a second there before cars and conversation was heard.
"I think you're super manly, and strong Bakugou. There is no way in hell you are weak." Kirishima slid his arm back to were it should be. Around Bakugou's shoulders. Then stared back at Bakugou's sharp eyes. At least no more tears were coming. A small 'tch' came from the blond before leaning onto kirishima. Kirishima returning it by leaning his head on his. Grabbing his hand softly. This was a normal occurrence. Meaning they did this a lot, when ever one or the other was in distress they would just lean on each other until they felt better or got bored. Hell even until one of them fell asleep. Bakugou nuzzled kirishima slightly. He let out a long breath.
"I like you." Was blurted out. In a sudden shock. Bakugou's face turned to a bright beets red. Kirishima had said it. Completely out of the blue and more or so random. He sat up quick- banging heads with kirishima.
"OW!"
"OW SHIT-!"
They both stared at one another then laughed. When they calmed down Bakugou stared at kirishima with an intense stare. He clenched his hands into a fist on his bag strap again. Seeming to be something he does when anxious.
"Do you actually like me?" He asked. It was quiet but mostly to hopefully not alert anyone to the alleyway. Especially the extras who were probably worried by now. Since it had been an hour maybe since they left the two in the ally. Kirishima nodded lightly. He grinned a little bit and his face turned red.
"No. Think I love you" Bakugou froze. His face turning red once again. He looked away with a tch. Crossing his arms with a tough pull. Kirishima stared with concerned eyes. 'That damn look again I don't like.' He wanted to make him smile. But he also needed to say how he felt. How he was in love with his best friend. Supposedly this would be a good time to do so. He mumbled it out.
"What was that?" Kirishima asked. Grasping his hand and slipped his into it. Obviously he had heard what Bakugou said but would like a clear repeat.
"I said I love you too, moron." Bakugou side eye glared at him. He then lowered his gaze from kirishima's large smile of satisfaction to the ground.
"Thank you." Kirishima leaned down slightly. Catching his fingers to Bakugou's chin. Tiling it upward to face the red head. Kiri had moved down. Their lips touched for a brief moment before coming together as one. Two puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly. Bakugou squeezed his hand back but also slid his other one to the red heads cheek. Kissing back with a strong pride. Knowing that he probably now had a partner for life. Hell maybe even a partner in crimefighting. It was their second year of high school and kirishima had already grown so much. It is insane to Bakugou that he can be so big after one growth spurt. He practically towers over everyone he meets now. Even Todoroki can't compare anymore.
Kirishima pulled away. He smiled and placed his forehead on the others. Bakugou looked so pretty in that moment. The peaking sun behind him flew through his damp hair and on his wet pale skin. Looking like an angel send from heaven. Glowing literally.
Kirishima's hair fell all over his face. The blond sat up slightly before standing. Reaching his hand down for kirishima to grab. With a smile the red head accepts and stood up with the help of the blond.
"We should go to the others. They are probably bored by now." Bakugou stated. Kirishima laughed but nodded. He grabbed Bakugou's trembling hand off his satchel strap. Holding it with an iron grip.
"Yeah. You're probably right, but Bakugou, don't worry. " he rubbed his thumb on Bakugou's hand. The blond made a small smile and nodded. He noticed all of kirishima hair, then pulled out a small blue pouch from his bag. Grabbing a hair tie and small comb out of it. He reaching up and pulled all of his hair back into a spiky pony tail. Kirishima's hair was thick so his comb threatened to snap. Much like how it does on his own hair sometimes. It still got the job done though. Smiling at how smooth his work was for not being able to reach all the way up. Guess kirishima kneeling slightly helped too but still. He placed everything back in his bag.
"Your hair shouldn't bother you now. It looks good that way too." He said before walking out of the ally. Heading towards the Game Center where he knew his 'friends' were waiting for them. Kirishima smiled brightly and followed. Grabbing Bakugou's hand and thanked him for the hair.
'Think there is enough evidence that people don't see that make Bakugou one of the best hero's the world will ever see' kiri though.
