Jisung

Light rain pouring, hot coffee in progress, toasting bread, and frying an egg and bacon.

After finishing breakfast, I'll blast chill music, and starts cleaning. Soon, I'll take a shower and get ready for school.

As soon as I finished locking the apartment, I walked my way to a bus station. Outside was still quite dark and empty, after all, it was just 5 o'clock.

I leaned on the waiting shed as I waited for the bus, gladly, it arrives just for a few minutes

I entered the bus and pay for the ride. After that, I take the seat behind him again.

For the nth time, we still riding the same bus. Since I moved here and going on this bus to go to school, I always see him here, in the same seat and position. He never takes away his eyes out of the window.

We were from a different school, he's from the east and I'm from the west.

I wanted to be friends with him so I can have someone to talk to while I'm on this long ride, but I was too shy to talk with him.

I wonder, does sometimes he notices that we're riding this bus every day?

He seems nice, sigh, If I just have the confidence to sit next to him and greet him.

The long ride had come to an end. We both get up and exit the bus. As usual, he would go across the pedestrian to take off the school.

After checking on him, I also make my way off to school.

Today's discussion is boring, all we did was take notes. From the first lecture to the last lecture it was quiet except when the professors are away.

I've gathered all my things in my locker and secured them with my padlock.

I soon left the school when I finished giving all my homework. I decide to go to a coffee shop to take lunch there because why not?

Enjoying the food and free internet, I didn't notice the time. It was 1:32, Mom was surely waiting for me in the bakery.

I quickly get up and called a cab in front of the cafe.

-

The sound of bells' jingles surrounded the when I opened the door. I opened the lobby and went straight to the office.

"Where have you been, Jisung? You're almost late." Mom asked as I entered the office.

"I had lunch at the coffee shop near my school and I didn't notice the time, I'm sorry, Mom." I put down my things and hug her from the side.

"Hmm, okay." She patted my hair. "Go take a bath, you're so smelly."

I scooted away and sniff myself. "I'm not smelly! I smelled like a baby!"

She just laughs at me. "Hurry up, sweety, I'll be opening the shop in a few minutes."

"Okay!"

Mom went back on checking the papers while I take the washroom. I look at myself in the mirror.

I look pale

Brushing off the thoughts, I quickly washed up and wear the bakery's uniform. When I got out of the washroom, I saw Mom talking to someone.

I waited for them to finish talking till Mom noticed me. "Jisung, Come here."

I waddled and stand behind her, observing the guy to who she was talking. When our eyes met, he smiled at me showing his smiley eyes, so I smiled at him too because I don't wanna look rude.

"This is Felix, sweety." Mom introduced him and pulled me from behind.

"H-hello, I'm Jisung." I reached out my hand to make a handshake with him. He gladly accepts it. "Lee Yongbok but you can call me Felix, nice to meet you!"

"He will be our first co-worker so you better take care of him, Jisung, or else I'll abandon you." My lips apart when she threatened me.

"Mom?" I faked my cry and I heard Felix laugh.

"Just joking, sweety but you should teach him some basics works here, and it was really a perfect timing that he applied today." Mom clapped her hands like an excited kid. "So tomorrow, it's weekend, we can teach him how to bake our specialties!"

Felix and I both agreed on Mom. "That's great!"

As Mom said earlier, I teach Felix and gladly, he gets it right away. The customers are even squealing because of his charms because even I can't deny that he has a good-looking face.

After working hours, we all went on separate ways. Mom and I don't go to the same house, she was with dad and I'm in the apartment.

That was dad and mom's idea because they thought it was closer to my school so I agreed because they were right.

Surprised me, Felix was living in the same apartment as me. He said he was on the 8th floor, well, I'm on the 3rd floor so maybe that's why I didn't notice, after all, I don't usually check up on other apartments.

"See you tomorrow, Jisung-ah!" I nodded and waved him goodbye.
