Third person's pov

" So what do you do? " He asked while offering her a drink!

" I work for income tax department " she replied and he raised his eyes brows being impressed!

" That's so thrilling " he commented

" Not as equilent to your job though " she replied and he smiled! And then there was an awkward silence!

" Your job can be hectic at times isn't it ?" She asked breaking the silence;

" You know what Annika the peace one can get after serving their country I wonder if any job can bring the same pleasure! Everyday I do my work keeping in mind that thousand of country people have hopes from me! And most importantly I want to meet on his expectations! He gave his life in a seize fire attack but before he died he had wrote me a letter which always helps me to recharge my energy! I feel this is the only job that no matter how much you serve you won't get tired because millions of people pray for their army isn't it ? " He poured his heart out!

For a second Annika saw her father's reflection in him! All her mind took her to that dreadful day! That day when her life took a terrible turn!

" Annika" he shook and she flenched by his touch! She looked at him for a second and he analysed her painful eyes! Wipping her sweat beads she picked her phone which was ringing for last five seconds!

" Yes papa "

" Dear my car broke, so shall I pick you when my people bring another car for me ? " basically harsh wanted to inform her that he will be late!

" Papa better you go come from there I will take any cab and reach at home! " She said

" No it's not safe "

" Papa I can take care of myself"

" But princess.. okay Shivaay will drop you! I will tell him to do so "

" Papa why to disturb him I will come taking a cab " she informed

" No wait let me tell someone to pick you before me! "

" Excellent and you will wait on road a little more with your few soldier's " annika rolled her eyes! And shivaay chuckled analysing the entire situation!

" I will drop you " shivaay said putting a full stop to their discussion

" Great " harsh heard him and immediately ended the call to aviod further argument with his stubborn daughter!

" You don't have too! Papa is just too over possessive " Annika said

" He is just taking care of the most precious diamond he has " shivaay replied and Annika blushed!

" So shall we go ? " He asked and she nodded!

Nodding to everyone saluting him shivaay took Annika outside where valet person brought the car!

He opened the door for her and she mummered thanku assembling inside the car!

She really didn't wanted to be close to another Harsh Vardhan Trivedi!

Flashback

Annika was 8 when her mother detected to have cancer! Due to negligence it started going worse!

There were militants suspected in the certain village! Harsh was busy there to find the location of them and plotting against them! When the mission ended he got to know the militant forces are present in other states too! He loved his family alot but his duty was always his priority! His fatherly heart forced him to take leave for week to spend time with his family untill he goes to an important mission yet again!
