As I arrived at the station I felt an overwhelming feeling of dizziness. I began to walk towards the platform, dreading wanting to go to another school once again. Seeing where I am supposed to be between platforms 9 and 10, I take in my last feeling of freedom before the train arrives. Once the train did arrive I walked on and headed towards the back. I find an empty booth and close the door behind me. I was hoping that no one would sit in the booth with me, I really never enjoyed talking to people. All of a sudden a broom is thrown at the sliding door.

"Oi! Watch it Wood! Or Potter won't be the only one with a scar!" This random girl screams.

She then slides open the door and walks into my booth.

" Sorry bout that. I'm Nicole, Nicole Davis" she says and sticks her hand out to shake mine. I take a breath before I perform my script,

"Hi I'm Isabella Miller, I'm a transfer student."

Hoping this was the end of the conversation I turned to look out the window, but to my surprise, she kept talking.

" Oh, how cool! I'm quidditch captain of Ravenclaw, the best house," she says with a smirk,

" and that jackass is Oliver Wood," she spits while pointing at a guy walking past our compartment," he's the Gryffindor quidditch captain. He thinks he's the best quidditch player, and sure he is out of the Gryffindor team. But they just suck!" she says while laughing.

I can't help but laugh as well. This is the first person who's actually talked to me like I'm a human, not a servant, and not a freak.

" I'll be your guide around Hogwarts! You don't want to get into the wrong crowd, like Malfoy." Malfoy? Like Draco Malfoy? Like the son of Lucius and Narssica Malfoy? I think to myself as she keeps talking.

 "He's a Slytherin right?" I questioned.

" Yeah, he is. But honestly, he gives the Slytherins a bad rap. Don't get me wrong he's a complete arse, but the majority of Slytherins aren't bad!" she explains.

The train ride continued and Nicole continued to talk about her entire life story. She's nice and all but this girl does have a mouth on her and can talk forever.

" So what's the difference between the houses?" I interrupt.

" There's four houses in Hogwarts, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and of course Ravenclaw," she starts to explain. " Gryffindors are represented by red, and they're definitely the favorited house out of all of us. Probably because of Potter." Potter? Harry Potter? Okay, I'm close. I thought. " Hufflepuffs are represented by yellow. Don't be fooled. They may seem nice and fluffy, but they have a dark side." she says in a wary voice. " Slytherins are green. They're known to be mean and bullies, but honestly that's just because of Malfoy. Oh, and they're definitely the most hated house." My stomach churns because I know that's most likely where I'll end up. " Lastly, you have the Ravenclaws represented by blue. We're known to be the most intelligent house, but everyone looks past us. That's okay though, we're observers. We know everything about everyone." she says with a mischievous smile.

We talked for a little longer before the train arrived at Hogwarts. I think I blacked out between then and now because I don't remember how or even when I got off the train. But here I was, walking through the middle of the Great Hall while everyone from every house was staring at me. A man with a white beard had yelled, "Welcome back students, before we begin we have a new student who will be sorted into her house, so will Isabella Miller come up to the front." I began to walk up to the front and looked around and saw students upon students staring at me as I walked. I liked attention (I mean who doesn't) but I had this weird feeling upon getting these looks. I couldn't tell if they already didn't like me or if they wanted to know more about me. As I finally approached the chair, I sat down and they had put a dusty brown hat on my head. I swear if this dusty fucking hat has lice. The hat began to speak,

"Hmmm... cunning, ambitious, mischievous, better be a..." I can't believe a hat would determine my future, a hat would either complete my plan or completely make a fool out of me and my family's name.
