On the Road

It has been a day after Sera came and it took a whole entire day to get Sera up to date and ok with the plan though right now in their bus, she was still terrified. They had only just left the place the girls were staying and while the girls where planning and packing for the next destination the things where definitely starting to change. In only a day the police got a new unit with on job hunt and take down racers the pig unit or how its properly Hot pursuit unit or HP for short. They had not restriction they would do whatever it took to take down a racer even if it led to completely totally their car. They were fast to quick response times, they got into formations faster and they drove faster cars. Though ordinary cops still do their jobs chase whoever went over the speed limit, though these guys where no joke and they were everywhere. Then on top of these new cops where the adjudicators they were on a different league to anybody. Each one chosen by Cross himself given cars built to hunt down street racers fitted with the best tech. America was under lockdown and freedom to race was gone and it all happened in one day. Y/n stayed low called some buddies to set up warehouse he can work in hard part was keeping everything undercover. Y/n needs cars fast ones and nothing was getting past Cross so that was the first job he had. While he drove the bus down the Highway, he could see only Cross changes to road. Roadblocks at almost every turn, more cops patrolling and on the side of the road and worst of all. His face on billboards. While Y/n drove the girls in the back were discussing their show, though it did not help that everyone mind was on something else

Ahri" Ok so Our next stop is California where Sera will get to show of her talents after which we......" Ahri looked at Akali that was busy texting who knows how many people, Eve was still glaring at Y/n who did not notice, Sera was barely listing since every cop car she saw scared her, and Kai smiled at Ahri knowing that this was not going to go anywhere. Ahri slowly walked up to Kai and sat next to her with her ears going down as she sat down.

Kai" Ahri don't worry too much about it we have 5 hours till we get there relax"

Ahri" I tried that"

Kai" The show will be great"

Ahri" That the thing the show would be great but look at how things are I'm surprised Riot has not just cancelled the whole thing after all this"

Kai" I had a feeling that would be it, look this war that's going on I'm sure it will get better plus Y/n is the best right his got this"

Ahri" I don't know if his got this, but I agreed and now we here "

Kai" One thing I know is that you have a great instinct you made us a group now we here. I know your uneasy but trust your gut it hasn't been wrong "

Ahri then laid her head on kai shoulder while smiling, Kai was always the voice of reason in the group she somehow always knew what to say. Ahri remembered seeing her dance for the first time it was incredible, fluid, energetic, everything K/DA needed. Now she their team's wise woman and right now Ahri needed her wise words. Why did she think a pop group could help a criminal hunted down by the government to take down corrupt cops? The thoughts went through her mind constantly, but she could not just abandon him.

Eve had different thoughts about him, she knew the girls would still do this even if she argued Ahri always had a thing for helping people, but this time helping him did not feel like the best idea. He may have saved Ahri, but it is his fault she almost got killed, if the others were not going to keep an eye on him, she will be starting with a little evaluation. Eve got up from her seat and grabbed two drinks and went to the front of the bus where Y/n was and sat next to him in the passenger seat. She used her tendril to give him the drink while she sat down which startled Y/n since it looked a lot like a snake.

Y/n" why would you do that I'm driving " he carefully too the drink while getting his composure. He took a breath and looked at Eve, she had her cold snake eyes starring deep into his and at that moment he realized why so many people are attracted and scared of her. It was like having a predator eye you down waiting to attack and for Y/n it was way more then he could handle so he focused on the road.

Eve" Force of habit so tell me how long you been driving"

Y/n" All my life I come from a racing family, so it's been all I known"

Eve" Your parents where street racers too"

Y/n" My mom was my dad was legal they said he was the best of his time"

Eve" So you you followed your mom footsteps because that"

Y/n" legal racing is too strict I like the freedom"

Eve" Freedom from breaking the law "

Y/n" Uh well I you know all I am technically doing is speeding so it's not like murder "

Eve" If it was that simple there would not be a war"

This was not an easy conversation Eve answered fast and cold, she did not let up which left Y/n completely at her mercy. Her goal was to break him down and find out everything about him this guy was not going to lead to the girls getting killed. Eve did not even let her gaze fall away from him this made Y/n feel like his being wrapped around by a viper but then a glimmer of hope something to save him. A truck pulled up next to him and it was carrying something Y/n has been waiting for. Y/n got a message saying that the Skyline ready for pick up, the truck then drove past them and on the back, it had a huge 1MW on it which made Y/n facepalm and look at Eve with a huge Grin on his face.

Y/n" Sorry Eevy but I got to cause some chaos " he followed the truck as it drove up to a gas station where there were a few cops parked enjoying don outs perfect targets.
