Chapter One

"Hey! Kongpob!" the short-haired girl called out to her brother as he strode over to stand beneath the blossom tree.

She stared at his lone figure. The way he had his hands tucked inside his pant pockets only proved that something was bothering him. She knew he was hiding something from her, hence the reason why he had brought her along with him to the abandoned summer house that their grandfather had left for them before he passed away. He cast her a gleeful expression, as if the beauty of the tree enthralled him.

Kayla Suthiluck knew that beneath the masked expression lies a hurtful soul. One that couldn't cope with his current issues and so he decided to escape, seeking solace the way their grandfather had - away from everyone else. Beneath the veil of dark lashes that framed those alluring eyes were shattered windows of his soul. Anyone could look into them and see just how much he was hurting. Sometimes Kayla didn't believe that the man standing in front of her was her brother. He was just too brooding, too kind and yet equally cold as ice at the same time. Nevertheless, his handsome appearance and striking good features could stop any woman in their tracks. From the way his dark unruly hair fell over his piercing eyes, to the way his mouth curved into the slightest of smiles and the way his perfect nose rested just above the full sensual mouth. He carried a charismatic aura about him and anyone who has ever encountered Kongpob Suthiluck knew that he was a man of his word.

Kayla Suthiluck thought about how lucky she was to be related to such a handsome prince. They were four years apart in age difference. She, sixteen and Kongpob twenty.

Kongpob Suthiluck gazed up into the tree as if it was love at first sight. The scent of the cherry blossoms overwhelmed him, trapping him within its beauty. He stood almost lost in a peaceful dream, until a hand shot out to tap him on the shoulder, bringing him back to reality again.

He turned to the young woman who gave him a heartwarming smile. His younger sister, Kayla, slipped an arm around his back and leaned in to rest her head against his shoulder. "Kong, these blossoms are strange. They're still alive during this season?" she paused, roaming her eyes around the tree and added, "It's absolutely beautiful." She turned back to face him, her eyes beaming in happiness. "Like some magical tree, don't you agree?"

"You're right. It almost seems magical," he agreed, finding it difficult to pry his eyes away from the tree to settle onto the summerhouse.

Four years ago his grandfather had claimed the house as a way to escape. Kongpob had only visited once, but at the time, he cared very little for it. His grandfather enjoyed being away from the city and spent most of his time there, painting landscapes and taking excursions across the mountain forests that stretched into the background. Now that his grandfather had passed away, Kongpob felt obligated to watch over the house for the time being. Just until he resolved the issues back at home. He wanted to escape his daily life in the city. He wanted to be away from the people he knew and the first place he thought was this place --
