Delia's POV

THE ONLY THING I COULD HEAR WERE CAR ALARMS BLARING AND THE LOUD, HIGH-PITCHED RINGING IN MY EAR.

I shifted my head to see I was laying on the ground in the middle of New York City.

What the hell happened?

I looked over to the other side to see Hotch staring at the scene in front of him. I slowly sat up, being sure to set my hands on the ground to steady myself. I was instantly dizzy.

It took me a few minutes to realize what happened. The SUV we were supposed to take had a bomb in it. We got caught in the explosion. I saw Hotch but I didn't see Kate.

When I tried to stand up, I almost fell back down. I felt a wet coldness run down my face. I held my finger to it and pulled it back to see blood. I was bleeding from somewhere. I felt blood run down my neck too from my ears. I didn't even realize the glass shards on my arm.

When I came to, I saw the car still on fire.

"Delia!" I heard Hotch yell. It was faint. I could barely hear over the ringing.

"Hotch?" I yelled and turned my head over a little to quickly.

I stood up, this time more determined than the last, and made my way over to Hotch, tripping a little on the way. I didn't feel pain. Not yet. Just pressure and numbness.

"I-I can't find Kate." He let out, clearly as discombobulated as me. My eyes widened.

"Kate!" I started yelling and running around the burning car. My flight or fight kicked in. Anything I was suffering from needed to go on pause. Finding Kate is the main priority.

"I told some kid named Sam to call 911."

We were looking around the car when I saw something a little farther away.

"Hotch." I said and pointed.

It was Kate. She was absolutely delirious.

"My purse! I can't find my purse!" She kept saying.

"Shh. Don't move." Hotch told her. She was bleeding everywhere.

"Aaron, my purse." She urged. There is no purse.

"I-I don't think you had one." I replied.

"I must have dropped it." She said and tried to squirm. She was hurting herself.

"Kate. Shh. Stop trying to move." Hotch kept telling her.

Something in her snapped. She realized where she was and who we were. "Aaron? What happened to you?" She asked and then looked to me. "Delia, your forehead is bleeding. What happened?"

"I don't know. I don't know. A bomb. An IED. I think it was an IED." Hotch stammered. We were all beside ourselves. We could barely think straight, let alone speak.
