Monica on the side

~Paris's POV~

Sitting in English, the period of the day I was thankful for that. There was only 20 minutes left until the bell rung, not really paying attention to Mr. Brown who was giving a lecture about some book that we will start next semester, my mind began to wonder what Justin wanted. I didn't see him anymore after he tried to fake "concern", I knew what he wanted from me which was sex just like any other guy in this high school. I wouldn't dare date him, let along sleep with him. He is mouth watering with his ocean blue eyes, perfectly tanned skin, and pink kissable lips.

"Wait, did I just say kissable lips about the school man-whore?" I thought to myself. Shaking my head like that would help get rid of my thoughts about Justin.

Out of no where a textbook slapped down on my desk making me jump and snap out of my thoughts. Looking up to see who the culprit was, I saw my best friend Monica Williams. She was African American with long Brown hair and brown eyes, she was gorgeous.

"Hey, what's wrong I've been calling your name for 5 minutes?" Monica asked.

"Just thinking and wanting this class to be over." I half lied.

"Girl class has been over for the last 10 minutes." She laughed and kind of loud might I add.

I looked around and sure enough the class was empty. I quickly packed up my stuff and headed for the door. The hallways were pretty clear because of school activities and clubs already started.

"So who were you thinking about? I know it's a guy because you was blushing." She asked once we got to our lockers.

I hated when I blushed, it was so embarrassing. "No body important." I said with a scoff/laugh.

"He has to be important with you blushing so hard just off a thought." She said with a grin.

"Justin." I mumbled. I didn't even have to say anything else because her eyes got wide and she started asking what him? And if we were talking? She started talking to her self about my "relationship" with Justin and how cute we were.

"Monica, cut it out! I am not dating him and never will." I had to say kinda loud to stop her ranting.

"Never say never Paris." She giggled. Moncia could be a true girly girl sometimes.

"I will not date Justin ever." I said with sarcasm and a smile.

"Whatever you're in denial, but it's okay I'll help you." She said with a full blown smile.

"Yeah okay, I'm going home. See ya later." I said with a turn heading to exit of our school building.

"I'm coming over around 7." She yelled to me. I gave her a thumbs up and made my way to my car getting in started my journey home.

*At Home*

The first floor of the house was quite. I figured no one was home, so I made my way to my room. I stopped at the top of the stairs hearing voices coming from my parents room, which was a few rooms before mine. I tip-toed to their door, like a spy. I pressed my ear against the door and listened I heard my mother's voice.

"I'll get you the money I owe you Ronnie, just give me some more time." My mom said sounding sacred.

The other end of the phone was kinda muffled, I was able to out the words "out of time".

My eyes got wide. I didn't like her that much because she left me and dad when I was 5 years old from a drug addiction. I knew she was acting a little weird earlier, I just didn't know the reason. But now I know the reason, my mom was using drugs again.
